I am very familiar with the ID10T error, as I have played a support role in the past. In this case it is laughable. PEBKAC is new to me and I like it, however every definition I have found cites the following as a canonical example:
"Did you ever figure out why that guy couldn't print?" "Yeah, he kept canceling the operation before it could finish. PEBKAC."
It somewhat applies in this case, because if I wait for about 5 minutes the page finally returns.
The following links are problematic:
http://www.bluelight.ru/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=search
-search link
-nearly every attempt to open is slow
http://www.bluelight.ru/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=19&t=010904
-This is the 'forum guidelines' Clicking Here href in Other Drugs
To be thorough, because I didn't think it was a browser issue, I have tried both IE and Netscape and neither is quicker. BTW, NS 4.73 shows the 'Nav' links (INFORMATION FORUMS NEWS FEATURES ABOUT REGISTER PROFILE SEARCH FAQ PILLREPORTS) justified left on the page, while IE shows them justified right.
I achive consistent sub 250ms pings to www.bluelight.ru (angel and paradise).
In my opinion the problem is with the database(index, memory issues).
As I researched and composed this post I was trying to search on a variety of keywords using some of the operations availbe to me (subject only, Registered Member Number), and had absolutely no luck.
Maybe I will succeed tomorrow.

There is not a single thing wrong with ANY of the shit you listed.. at this point in time, the board is SLOW - this will be fixed soon, but until then we all have to give a little... for instance, if you click a link and it gives you a "page can not be displayed" (or whatever) then hit refresh and wait... yeah, it may take awhile but the alternative is not using the board - you're here by your own choice, so you gotta follow the rules...
You know the proverb, give a hungery man a fish and he eats for a day, beat him to death and he will no longer be a drain on society, dressed in fatigues hanging out downtown begging for fish, change, or alcohol...
But see, I could understand the search taking so long you think it's broke... but had you read the guidelines (they pull up just fine) you would have seen that in response to a CLOSED POST you email the moderator in question, the WORST THING you could do is make another thread defending that one...
