so go back to being my parents and lecture me some more, instead of actually answering the question i have asked. thanks.
i did not mean to inflame and if i did you have my apology.
i did write "i'm not suggesting for one second that this is a parallel with your case as i know no details" because i had hoped to widen the discussion of your specific case into a more general discussion.
i.e. whether people consider it fair to be punished for breaking a law in the absence of warnings about machines for detecting such.
what do people think - is it unfair to receive a ticket, if one is absolutely speeding, because there are no signs warning that 'hidden' technology to detect speeding is operating in that area?
all the best

DR.Gonzo-- i do not feel that my original question has been answered... the one with the license plate cover, and the other guy who claims to be able to not have it go on record....
i only recieved one answer, and i was hoping for just a teensy bit more input on the subject... thank you.

Ok, I've given you my opinion, this will stay open, hopefully somebody will be able to help you further. I didn't mention the license plate cover...have to check with AZ, but many states have laws restricting covers of any kind.

even if they are 100% clear and do not obstruct the view at all?
i dont quite understand that, but jsut wanted to clarify... im not talkin about something like black so you cant see it at all... but if you cant have clear ones thats kinda.. ahh.. whatever.

I did a quick search on clear plate covers. Some states clearly state "Frames shall not obscure characters. Covers of any kind are prohibited", as in Minnesota. In the case of Arizona, it simply states "prohibits obstructing".
Here is the complete Arizona state legislature page on the subject of licenses and plates.
Here is a page with that simple "prohibits obscuring" answer.

I live in Sweden and I'm used to the way the police work here (even if you're speeding just a tiny bit you'll most probably recieve a ticket)... So I'm having problems understanding your reason to why these photo radars are so bad.
I'm also quite sure that these two offers (plate covers and the other thing) are crap. If you have snow in your state you can buy a can with this snow-in-a-can (the stuff people spray on their windows at christmas, it looks like snow) and spray on your plates. If the cops stop you, just say "oh dear.. that snow wasn't there when I left home."

^LOL
that really made me laugh...
unfortunatly, i live in arizona, where right now, in january, it is at LEAST 70 degrees outside... i am wearing a tank top and driving with the convertible top down.... that one wouldnt quite fly ;) but thats a great idea!
