I had to cheat and look it up so I won't spoil the answer ;)

I didn't even remember that scene. Now I have to go watch it and hear the song...
 
The name of the song in MMT that a band was named for was "Death Cab for Cutie" as performed by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band.
