Phenmetrazine analogue of DOC (Chem Masturbation)

Phenmetrazine was found to provide an amphetamine stimulation with strongly reduced adverse side effects. Apply the same theory to DOC?

I'd hit that! Though tbh i think the n-substitution would make it pretty much inactive. Methylenedioxy analog would be worth a shot.
 
these were the basis for FnB's... Duck's, right (his parody of the dragonfly's, I think)?

I don't think the MD version would be anything to write home to mom about. Isn't the conformation altered adversely?
 
Yeah i forgot about the ducks! I don't know about the MD analog, i was basing it on N-Me-MDA being active and beta-methoxy-3,4-methylenedioxyphenethylamine being much more active than MDPEA. Do you know the binding conformation of MD(M)A?
 
So yeah, who has a lab and would like to get cracking on this? Just kidding. But yeah, no-one has really looked into phenmetrazine or phendimetrazine analogues of some of our favorite RCs. The phendimetrazines would definitely be interesting because it would have a lighter profile but also some of it would be metabolized into the corresponding phenmetrazine analogue, kind of like how some the 4-AcO trypts have a "combined" method of action as the HO and AcO have slightly different effects and much of the AcO gets metabolized into the HO. So yeah, I'm going on and on here, aren't I! :)
 
Hehe glad to see you're excited! There's lots of stuff that could be done with that beta-oxygen without substituting the nitrogen - 5 or 6 membered ring to the 6-position of the aromatic ring, connect it up with various ring sizes to the alpha and beta carbons of the side chain for example.
 
=( So no-one is into the phenmetrazine analogue idea? Just making a betaketone of DO*?
 
Its definitely worth a try, i'm sure it would do something and would be very interested to know what. And the synth shouldn't be hard, an extra 2 steps?
Probably best to try on the 2C's to avoid the issue of diastereomers though. That could be interesting later...
 
I reckon it would ruin the affinity to 5-HT2A, the ring is rather bulky.
The MD version might be worthwhile though.
 
Well, it did have lots of euphoria (phenmetrazine, I mean), enough to be taken off the market, that might help with it. The MD version might be good.... The 2C version might also be good (just a matter of taking off the methyl).

Anyone want to get cracking on this? PM me. I can't do anything atm but anyone who is interested......
 
For serotonin agonist, is that methyl tale actually needed? Without it, it's not much of a stimulant, but neither is phenylethylamine....
 
For a few thousand dollars, I'm sure you could find one or more companies to make this compound for you. Although the expense is a drawback, you would be left with a large quantity of whatever chemical you tell them, within reason (eg, no ETH-LAD, etc.).
