Misc Phenibut feels like...

I second the energetic feeling. (I felt almost euphoric the first few times)

I'm trying to stick to 2 days a week; ive heard of people using it for much longer without becoming dependent though.

Its a real shame you become tolerant so quickly....

Well after going through 50 grams in 10 days I decided to stop. Of course I was nervous but I jumped over to Picamilon and thus far 3 days later the transition has been flawless. My general anxiety is back BUT I feel that Phenibut actually taught me a lesson in 10 days that CBT would've taken a year to learn. I see the anxiety from a new perspective almost like it's a laughable feeling. I made a sick game of it like 'that's the best you can CMON GUY'. I believe that this drug would benefit from therapeutic use in a proper mindset for individuals with GAD, SAD, OCD and other CBT-responsive disorders. I had some of the best therapy sessions while under the influence of this stuff and said nothing I regret like I would under the influence of benzos. I also started exercising and the elusive runners high I sometimes get was AMAZING, I actually couldn't walk for a day after one run because I had ran double my normal 5-mile distance because it felt so euphoric especially with beats.

Ahh, it's been almost a year and I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night, lol.

What I do know is Phenibut no longer has ANY of the initial feel-good dopamine effects that it once had however I never built a tolerance to the anxiolytic effects. It feels as though I've most definitely made some permanent (thus far) brain changes. For example, before I had ever ventured down the rabbit hole with Phenibut my shrink was able to easily diagnose me with GAD based on the DSM's guidelines for diagnosis. However after having used Phenibut for several months and gotten off I no longer have a GAD diagnosis. I am WAY calmer than I used to be pre-Phenibut - everyone noticed this, not just me. I am able to handle anxiety and panic response much more efficiently and I believe it has something to do with the intense acute withdrawal I was subjected to... It makes normal anxiety pale in comparison.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, thanks. I've been taking around 3g of phenibut twice a week (every three days or so) and I haven't noticed many ill effects from doing so, save a little nausea and the occasional mild headache. I have heard a number of horror stories about the withdrawal-triggered anxiety associated with quitting phenibut (which is why I put two or three days between doses) so, as a precautionary measure, I'm trying to collect more information. I've read all of the erowid experience reports, but I'm not satisfied.

Wow I've only heard such shitty things about Gabapentin. I was curious about Phenibut but if it's basically the same as neurontin than that let's me know it can be a very fun drug.

1. How similar is it to Lyrica or Baclofen?

Both Lyrica and Baclofen go in my book as the worst drugs I've ever taken (even worse than dxm cough syrup or gravol/weed mix). The Baclofen always made me throw up the day after without any benefits worth taking it, while Lyrica made me count down the minutes to when it would wear off as I felt very dysphoric even with snorted hydromorphone (as potentator).

People say that Baclofen and GHB/GBL are similar in effects, as a person who has had GHB in the past I can say that GHB is an incredibly euphoric chemical far different from alcohol.

Soma is also wonderful in terms of relaxation, euphoria and lack of side effects like memory loss, etc.

I love downers but if I only would have taken phenobarbital from the barbs family I wouldn't have thought twice about it,
that is until I tried amobarbital which 100mg-200mg *is* something to write home about :) Maybe phenibut is like that, as in different from Lyrica or Baclofen.

p.s. I have 4mg clonazepam/day tolerance since 2004, but Soma or amobarbital have no cross tolerance in fact they are one of the only GABAergics I can feel even when I cannot feel 5-6mg clonazepam.

not in my experience...to me, phenibut is like a much longer lasting Ghb type buzz whereas gabapentin is like alcohol in a pill..gabapentin can be a lot of fun if used here and there..i think its more of a party drug than phenibut..
