Phenibut – daily therapeutic usage? dosage?

Hello everyone!
I am new to this forum. I have found it with Google through a relevant topic.
However, I wasn't quite able to draw a definite conclusion from that topic, plus I saw the guideline advocating new threads against "megathreads" (if I understood that correctly), so I made this new one.
So here's the deal...

I live in Russia, and I was recently prescribed phenibut for anxiety.
The dose set by my therapist is 250 mg, 2 times a day for four weeks.
But, being extremely cautious as I am, I started looking for as much info on the substance as I can get my hands on before taking it.
It seems that for some reason phenibut is not that well studied (which baffles me as much as the OP of the topic I linked to), and the suggestions on dosage and intake frequency can vary.

What worries me is that most sources I've seen so far (like Reddit's /r/nootropics community) recommend to NOT take it daily, but weekly instead, citing the rapid tolerance buildup as the reason.
(But then again, a lot of those people who complain about decreased effect and withdrawals take crazy doses of it, like 2g at least and up to half a dozen, which to me is unthinkable.)
In contrast, the manufacturer of the brand that I take (the text on the site is the same as in the instruction manual) does not advocate against it and only advises to not to take more than 750mg at once.
They actually suggest a course of daily 3x(250-500)mg intake for 2 to 6 weeks, which goes in line with my prescription.
But looking at some feedback in Russian (and I assume all, or most of those people, took it according to the manual/prescription, i.e. daily) – I see reports of people going through a course like that and feeling good, but then not feeling any effects on repeat use. Looks like the notorious tolerance issue to me.

So I think some corrections to the prescription are in order.
Basically I'm now on the proving grounds between anecdotal evidence and somewhat contrasting official recommendations.
I guess there has to be something in between... a golden mean, if you will?
I'd be glad if the people of this forum would help me in finding it.
I want to have the effects and avoid building up a tolerance.

So far, I only took 250mg twice last week, and 500mg yesterday, initially planning to not take any more for the week.
But I think I'll have to, because I felt the effect wearing off today.
I'd say the effect wasn't super perceptible, but it was quite good.
So right now my plan is to take 250mg today and 2x250mg tomorrow and no more for the rest of the week.
I'll see how it feels and I'll talking to my therapist on Friday.
At the moment I'm using these two stories as a reference: one, two.

Well... if anyone has anything to say on this, please do!
Thank you!
