Real simple question:

Has anyone tried phenazepam? Apparently it isn't a controlled substance. I am reluctant to buy into a benzo that isn't outright illegal, but stranger things have certainly happened. So how about it? Has anyone tried it, or at least have any info about it? I've searched the web, and information about it's specifics, as well as recreational AND therapeutic uses is nil. But if it has value, it may be worth looking into, as a supposedly legit site only wants <snip> for 500mg, which is supposed to be roughly equal to 250mg xanax/Klonopin!!!:?:

That's not right. I would only do 1 mg on my first go. It is a benzo, so expect benzo and nothing more. It last at least 24 hours. Make sure you have the proper tools to measure it. No toothpicking or finger dipping. You will get too much on either of those doses.
 
I lost a week to a gram of this stuff, if its powerder you would need to used a liquid method for dosing, search this site for info on how to do that I don;t have that information. Either that ir soem very good scales as irs properly active at 1-2 Mgs.

Perosnally I'd stay well clear of it very few seem to manage to use it wihtout loosing days or weeks, there planty of info here on it and very little of it positive, importation into the UK has been banned recently, but I'm guessing your the other side of the pond.

^Damn, is it that strong??? I am not sure if I am going to try it, just that I recently switched to IV subby full time, due to lack of funds, and my health getting bad enough that I can't handle even occasional dt's(the last 3 times I ran out, ended up with fevers in excess of 104 degrees, and have hallucinated before) and benzo's really help out with Bupe.So yeah, if it's semi-legal, it would definantly be worth a try, though have to make sure that the source is legit.

It is really very strong. The best way to take it is to use liquid dosing and dissolve a known amount (weighed using good scales as mentioned) in a known amount of propylene glycol, then use a syringe to measure out the right amunt of liquid (make sure you get your maths correct!) Even with good scales it would be really difficult weighing out miligram-sized doses as they are just so tiny.

The half life is 60 hours so if you take it every day it will quickly accumulate and you will lose periods of your life, as atm found. It seems to be particularly amnesic from what people have said.

There is a phenazepam thread in OD here, and an old archived one here if you want to do some reading.

According to the benzo equivalency chart in my sig, 1mg phenazepam = 10mg diazepam = 0.5mg alprazolam/Xanax, so 500mg would be the equivalent of 250mg Xanax - but bear in mind 1mg looks very much like 2mg or 3mg and without 0.1mg scales or liquid dosing you could end up taking a lot more than you intended to!

Also, we don't allow any mention of prices here - take a look at the BDD posting guidelines in my sig :)

It is just really crutial you get dosing right. That will be the main problem. It is a benzo, so you have to treat it the same as any other potent benzo. Hopefully you don't black out and sipp on the solution you made... (terrible)
 
Phenazepam is the most powerful benzodiazepine I have ever tried. I was liquid dosing, and still blacked out for 2 weeks and ended up in the hospital. All I remember is taking the first dose, then fast forward two weeks later, kind of waking up in hospital.
 
Either you messed up on you guys calculations, two weeks is an overstatement.... Period. It can't possibly last that long with it's life in the system. The only way this could happen is if you are redosing and you are already blacked out.
 
I suspect redosing was involved, you're right 2 weeks off one dose is silly unless the dose was pretty heroic, but with a 60 hour half life, even a couple of redoses could cause it to accumulate. Benzos make me stupid and more likely to redose too much, and phenazapem does seem to be a particularly amnesic benzo..

Definitely one to be careful with!

I was redosing without even knowing it. Phenazepam has a 60+ hour half life, and is very dangerous. Read the Trip Reports. Lots of people have blacked out for weeks with Phenazepam bro.

This I understand... But, they are obviously missing information from their blackouts... So, they did not tell of redosing, which was highly obvious by the half life of the drug.
 
But that's the thing with phenazepam, poor judgement + amnesia = week long black outs and no memory of why.. I get what you are saying though PJ, I think we are all in agreement that redosing is involved when people lose that much time!
