Well its been about 6 months clean from benzo's & opiates for me. Only thing I been doing though is kind of hammering my GABA-B receptors. :\

I have a small amount of phenazepam coming with propylene glycol. I am probably going to get flamed for this, but if I kept my doses small, and just used occasionally, is it possible to not go back to square one benzo addiction?

I'd say you'll be ok with occasional use. Just be very careful with the dosing.

On a related note, would those here experienced say phenazepam is less addictive than your average benzo?

On a *purely* physiological level you could certainly use sparingly and not become physically dependent but addiction is way more than physiology.

If you had to quit for 6 months because you lost control before and then you need to ask permission from BL to use it again now, I'd say its very possible that this could slide you back into problematic use.

I can't read your mind or predict the future so I can't tell you if you'll become addicted or not.

i read in another thread you said you still had benzo withdrawal symptoms. this should go without saying but taking more benzos is not what you should be doing if you want those to go away.

I'd say that particular benzo is dangerous purely due to it being readily available for legal purchase without having to see a doctor. Whereas normal benzo scripts encourage rationing of doses, phenazepam does the exact opposite.

agreed.

also keep phenazepam's long half-life in mind. if you'll be using it more than once a week you'll definitely build up some physical dependence.

You should avoid Phenazepam. I should had not ask you.

benzo dependance is no joke. it may just be psychological, but the best thing to do is just stay away from them if you don't wanna fall back into being a walking xanax bar. and with that, i'm a bluelighter. ;)

A member pm'd me asking me why I have said I'm giving phenazepam a miss from now on. Don't think I've posted exactly why on the forum so I'm going to copy/paste my reply to him here...

Hi there.
I've been taking all sorts of drugs for 30 years...probably not done me any good but I've always been in control. Until earlier this year when I ordered a gram of phenazepam (pure) & eyeballed it *carefully*. To cut a long story short I 'lost' 6 weeks, almost completely except for the odd snippet of memories. Its fucked up my year...I pissed off lots of people including close family & friends, lost my wallet, job etc. When I finally came round I found I'd finished the gram plus 90 lorazepams, 90 ambien, & 5 grams of mephedrone. 2 weeks later I thought I was back to normal but no, people were telling me I was slurring my speech, moving oddly etc. I foolishly went to the docs for some codeine & she insisted i not work (I'm a truck driver) until I've seen a neurologist which will be in october. I reckon she thinks I've had a stroke ffs!

I'm ok now, but no more phenaz for me thanx lol. Be careful with that stuff, its dangerous!

^Self explanatory really, no more comments needed. *edit* I have stated my opinion somewhere on here that phenaz is safe to take/eyeball, mainly because the stuff available now is cut to f..k, or is it I've now got a massive tolerance...who knows. Anyway, I take back that statement, & would advise anyone thinking of trying phenazepam not to bother!

Be safe & stick to tried & tested benzo's. Regards, Levvy.
