Pharmahuasca - Harmine Dosage

Hello everyone. I'm thinking of getting Harmine HCL Isolate. Really want to try pharmahuasca, but I don't know about the dosage? I can guess about the DMT dosage, but not harmine.

Note: Previous experiences / Changa (%50 DMT) - 100mg - Pretty Strong Trips - Several Times

sorry if this is too hairsplitting, but to me the term "pharmahuasca" refers to the usage of pharmaceutical MAOIs, which are often irreversible (in contrast to the harmala alkaloids), and are (rarely) used as antidepressants (e.g. Phenelzine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenelzine ). reminds me of the tragic death of David Foster Wallace ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Foster_Wallace ), but that is really off-topic now...

so what's the correct dosage of harmala alkaloids? a good question, I have no real definite answer for; Shulgin is pretty vague in TiHKAL:

the best answer is probably in the book about ayahuasca and its analogues by Jonathan Ott: I'll look up for you in the evening (right now I'm short of time), if no other bluelighter provides answers in the meantime.

i was asking the exact same question in the oral dmt b&d thread.

someone pointed me into the direction of "about 150mg harmine should be enough" territory. i remember reading "100-200mg harmine" somewhere, so i guess i will start with 100mg harmine hcl and ramp upwards until the effects are satisfying. planning to keep the DMT dosage stable at 75mg to see what difference the harmine dosage makes.

tho i'm not gonna start before mid summer, so i wount have anything to report anywhere soon.

100-150mg harmaline is usually right, or 150mg-200mg harmine...yeah doing that from memory since I've never used pure harmala compounds with tryptamines...but search the DMT Nexus forum, those guys live and breathe this stuff.

I finally got around looking up in the book on ayahuasca analogues by Jonathan Ott (sorry I didn't make it earlier), and his data also suggests that full MAO inhibition is reached at doses between 120 and 160 mg Harmine (Table III-B in chapter 3).
