Peyote Cactus - What do I do?

I recently bought a peyote cactus... it is 40-45mm diameter across the green top (16 years old).

Whilst looking around online for methods of extraction, I have come across various different ways of doing things... some say to blitz the cactus in a blender, boil it, and then drink the liquid (although not quite as straightforward as that)... and others say to eat the dried 'buttons'.

Basically, I have no idea what to do. Can someone please fill me in?
Thank you ... ! ^^

If you look at what a normal dose is, it is usually a certain number of (as in multiple) buttons. Yes aged peyote is stronger per weight than young cactus but I still don't think that you can trip well off of one single cactus.

You are not the first one asking this and most of the time the answer I see people giving is: if you want to trip get San Pedro or Peruvian Torch cacti, they are MUCH more affordable. Keep your peyote as a nice decoration or a symbol unless you have access to a good amount, I guess if you are from the texmex area or similar desert-like places or know someone who is from there.
Wild peyote's are going extinct so it's actually not such an appropriate idea. Ideal would be if you knew a devoted person who raises a lot of them.

Most inexperienced indians dosed with 6-8 peyote buttons. The experienced trippers would use upwards of 30.

I think with one I doubt you will even reach threshold effects.

If you got it from the wild thank god you only got one as they're on the brink of extinction.

Hold on to it, then in 20 years when they're nowhere to be found you could make yourself rich. I ate three about the same size you described, ate them good. Didn't do all that much though, just a nice body high.
