PETITION: Stop Florida pharmacies from denying pain patients vital medicines

Thanks for sharing that story Gnome.

Edit - Just read your other post about your situation. I'm sorry you have you to put up with so much shit (some of it, possibly life-threatening) to get a prescription for a narcotic. If I knew you personally, I'd try to help you sue whatever doctor put you on Imitrex for (perhaps I'm going too far but...) endangering your life. Maybe we'd end up on Judge Judy.

Read my on-going and talk about suing. Before the Suboxone my BP was controlled and some meds dropped and the other cut in half. Since the Suboxone it was not controlled until starting last month in the hospital adding more BP meds and doubling doses. Now it's back to being controlled, but having now to take more meds.

Anyway, you'd think I'd have a suit. I contacted a lawyer after the pushing of Botox and he didn't want the case. You'd think he want to jump on it just from the doctor being lied to from the Suboxone rep!!! BTW, I was on that crap 3 weeks with BP outta control. I was also sent to Nepturalogy (sp) to see if my kidneys were the cause of it, or damaged from it

Look there's already a giant problem with opiates being way over-prescribed there. Some innocent people might get shut out for many more not to have their habit fed to an irredeemable level.

This is somewhat irrelevant (but still a little relevant - it's late, don't mind me) in relation to the situation in Florida but if only we'd be allowed to grow our own opium poppy plants. Maybe not exactly the 'right' solution from a harm reduction standpoint, but better than absolutely nothing.

Florida Pain Medication Petition

I see that the petition is closed for new legislation on the strict pain pill medication refills. Their is a new pain pill shortage petition out that seems well written and provides ways to email your state legislators. It is located at WOZICA dot COM so take a look and lets see if we cant get enough signatures for the shortage of pain medication in Florida
