For the last few weeks, ive been randomly hallucinating. Never taken hallucinogens besides dxm, even then, i didnt even see anything. Its been stuff like seeing shit out of the corner of my eye, a little bright orb, simple audial stuff. But this week, its kinda scaring me. It will be totally silent and Ill hear police sirens that nobody else hears. Ill hear a fire alarm all of the sudden. Its not blaring loud, but its noticible. Just below the 'loudness' of somone talking to you. Im also seeing figures out of the corner of my eye now. Befor it was more like 'sensing' stuff, but now its fucking scary. Ill feel like somone is behind me, ill look, and its like its a shadow moving out of view. I came here like 2 weeks ago asking for help, you guys told me to go to the doctor. Is it really that serious? Becuase its really freaking me the fuck out right now.

It could be schizophrenia, but usually schizophrenics don't have visual hallucinations... The fact that you know yourself that they are hallucinations, and not real, sounds good. What drugs are you taking right now? This sounds like a drug-induced condition...

I've been psychotic several times myself, and I usually was just paranoid with no real hallucinations. I'm currently taking risperidone every day to prevent further psychotic episodes.

Thats the thing though, its getting harder to tell now. I was sitting in one of those weird workout chairs, and i felt the arm bar move, i asked my friend and he said it wasnt moving at all. That freaked me out, sometimes i feel like my chairs are shrinking or shifting positions, and its getting worse and worse. Currently im taking, cannabis, vicoprofen, vyvanese and alcohol on occasion. I also feel really paranoid, ill hear a door open, the garage door open, footsteps, ect. Im constantly looking out the windows.

I just took 30 mg hydrocodone about 2 hours ago. And its not like im smoking weed every day. I get plenty of sleep as well. I read it could be stress.

Do any of your relatives have a serious mental problem? Some people are genetically susceptible to get psychotic and cannabis use can trigger psychosis in them...

I have a few family members who are schitzophrenic. But ive been doing these drugs for a while. Cannibis for like 2-3 years now. Can it really start that late? I havent even been smoking it latley. Last time was tuesday.

How old are you? I've read that schizophrenia usually comes during late teens/early adulthood. Cannabis has been shown to accelerate the onset of it. Also, opiates can sometimes have hallucinogenic effects, but those are rare. Are you overly stressed right now?

I'm 18. Id have to say, yes, im really stressed right now. More than I've ever been.

Stress, especially in excessive amounts, can lead to numerous adverse effects on your body and mind. I would highly advise you seek the help of a professional to help with your problems. Unfortunately, over the internet, there is not much we can do here besides provide some superficial support. Best of luck to ye.

Not even sure why I ask, I knew I'd get this. Its the best for me, but its hard for me to open up like that. And I really dont want to have to go on any meds. Ahh well, i guess ill tough it out until summer school is over, hopefully I can relax more then.

You had no problem opening up in your other thread...and no one judged you there. Stop taking so much drugs and go see a therapist. Not to be prescribed meds or have them call you crazy, but just to talk about whatever's on your mind. Therapists don't prescribe meds, they can't, psychiatrists prescribe Rx.

Its important that you seek help from other people who can seriously help rather than just randoms on the Internet. Good luck

People have given you some really good advise here, def. go see a therapist asap.

Schizophrenia was the first thing that came to my mind. My mom and aunt have it and when they have a bad episodes they both see/have seen hallucinations. The things that they have told me that they have "seen" are shit i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy...

We can't diagnose you online; I think it would be best for you to find some sort of professional to speak to about what you are experiencing. I think Wolfman's Brother made a good suggestion of seeking therapy first before jumping onto meds. If your symptoms are anxiety related then it's possible that talking about it could reduce their severity. But it's also possible that medication may be useful. This just isn't something we can decide for you here.

You don't need to rush into labeling yourself with anything. Start by opening up to others and take things from there.

Just to chime in here,

I think you might just be struggling from stress. I noticed that during the worst period of my life, which was when I was in the space of a week, fired from my job, my brother died, and in the middle of exams.

I was experiencing hallucinations, mostly auditory but also slight visual ones like seeing things out of the corner of your eye, or everything doing the one action (like chewing gum), but as I slowly coped with these issues, I found that with a mixture of sleep and good diet, this ended within a month of so.

Good Luck.
