Misc Perscribed Daily sub, xanax in the a.m., got drunk p.m. think I might be DIEING!!

Ok so heres my situation....
Im om 1 mg of suboxone daily. Half mg nasaly wen I wake up and half mg nasaly before bed. Been on it for months etc....

My question is tho, I live with some people in a very small space so sometimes I get woken up at like 6 am wen my roomies are moving around/getting ready for work. And like last night I didnt get to sleep until 3:30 a.m., now I got woken up at 6:30 am, its now almost 8 o clock and I cant get back to sleep....

Would it be safe to take a small bit of xanax (1/4 -1/2 mg) to help me get back to sleep rite now
I plan on drinking heavly tonight (alcohol) probly starting round 8 or 9 pm.. (so 12 or 13 hours from now)

Now im now at all worried about the xanax/sub combo because I take the 2 2gether all the time and was even perscribed them for a while by the same dr....

But what I am worried about is the xanax/sub/ALCOHOL combo n if I could potentialy die or fuck myself up when I go out drinking tonight if I took a lil xanax rite now to go back to sleep... Thnks


N for some background, I get wasted drunk while on suboxone regularly...

I never mix the 3 tho sept maybe 1 or 2 beers...

But im gunna sit here waiting at my pc for a reply bcuz im borderline insomniac as alot of the sub users know how that goes :/...

You'll be perfectly fine with 1/4 or 1/2 mg if you take Xanax on a regular basis. No worries.

Well, you should really be fine. Take .25mg, if that dose is enough to effect you, otherwise take .5mg. For some reason doctors who prescribe suboxone seem to think that adding benzo's to the mix = death. While its true that a few opiate and benzo naive people have overdosed from injecting subutex and temazepam, I feel as though thats a completely different story. You just got to be smart about how much Xanax you take. Don't ever take more than what you normally do to feel mellow and calm, because that's the way you'll run into problems. Bupe has a cieling on repertory depression, but Xanax doesn't and since they're both CNS depressants, they synergize with each other. From my experience though, as long as you start at a low dose with the benzo's you're not going totally over dead.

And don't drink alchohol along with the Xanax and suboxone. I've done it before with no I'll effects but I wasn't really thinking about how bad that can be. Te Xanax effects the sedation from alchohol a lot, and then to be taking suboxone on top of it, just isn't safe

Well thats my main concern. I AM getting drunk tonight. For sure. Its not the sub and xanax bcuz im cool with that... Just last night I took 2mgs and drank (only) 2 beers.... And im on a daily sub regiment as u can see frm my first post so thats included in the "cocktail"

But id b taking the xanax at now 9 a.m. to goto sleep, then probly start drinking around 7-9 pm...

Amd im gunna be drinking to get drunk lol. More then a couple drinks u know lol
Im not worried bout xanax+sub..... Im worried bout leftover xanax from the morning +sub+alcohol...

This forum is about harm reduction. Telling someone that they're a bitch because they're concerned about possible chemical interactions is really unproductive and stupid. OD is for these kinds of questions.

And for nightlights,
If you're drinking later in the evening, than it shouldn't be a problem. Xanax is very short acting, so I wouldn't worry too much about drinking 8 or so hours later. It's really when you mix all three together that it can become dangerous, and while there will of course be some Xanax left in your system, the amount would probably be pretty small. I wouldn't be too worried about it, I would just say, don't get to wasted. And no problem btw, I'm glad I can help

Speculating about if you're okay, if you're okay to take more drugs, etc is dangerous and is not what Bluelight is here for.
