From what ive read and seen, many users, opiate/opiod users have been useing for about 1-10 years or a or more. Now my question is WOULD THIS NOT CAUSE PERMENANT brain chemistry change in the brain??? because your reg. endorphins are not being made anymore, but just being supplied with opiated like heroin. thanks guys. im just worried about opiate users. Like myself who self medicate.

anyone..?

The question is then: if a person stops using opiates for a long enough time (whatever that is a month to ocassional users, a year for everyday users) will they endorphin receptor systems become as sensitive as they were before using opiates?
That is, they have the same "hapinnes top" as they would before starting taking opiates? That means, disregarding all changes in life that makes one happier/un-happier, are they as happy as before?
I hope that was clear, I wrote it in the most clear way possible :) .
 
You will never feel as good as you could after taking drugs, I beleive it's the whole half life issue...you will get to 99.99999% better but never 100%

it's like if you have something 1 meter tall, and then have something half a meter tall, then add half of half a meter onto that, and half of half of half a meter onto that, etc..keep adding on half of the last amount, you'll never reach 1 meter, only very very close..hope that makes sense
 
all i have to say is damn.. some of your explainations are like whack .. lol.. damn.. anyways.. idk personally i used opiates for the past year and a half up until late june this year and i must say that i have no damage what-so-ever and my life still is fun like it was b4 i used opiates .. so for me its back at 100% ... but ppl are all different when it comes to psycoactives so idk bout u all.. personally i think it can come back to the way twas b4 u used opiates
 
this topic can be very subjective, which would lead to know where, but people saying oh I can still feel good without any drugs. I think people would want to hear factual information on this topic, not just hear say..
