Opioids Percs like a stimulant?

Lately I've noticed that Percs give me the good old opiate buzz I'm looking for, but tend to keep me more focused on things. For example, I popped about 30mgs and blew through an essay with ease. Now I don't have a stimulant buzz at all, but I just seem to have the mental mind set of it. Also, when I go to bed I'm very restless. Almost insomnia like. Usually I don't get a good night's sleep, but sleep in very late which is not usual for me.

I'm just wondering if anyone shares these effects. It's totally different when I take oxys or rs.

Yeah oxycodone seems to lend itself to wakefulness and focus more than any other opioid I've tried. Also I never get a true good nights sleep on opes, but not restless that seems a little weird unless you totally came down at that point maybe.

Many people get 'stimulated' feelings from oxycodone, myself included. It's a false stimulation, one that with time gradually recedes into a shell of its former glory.

Although, I notice these effects with any formulation of oxycodone. However, it is dependent on the amount I ingest. If I keep the dose low, and just take enough to 'satisfy' myself, I find the stimulation to be present, and pleasant. All the way until bed time where I will toss and turn, tired but not sleepy. 12.5-25mgs of doxylamine works wonders on countering this.

On the other hand if I overdo it, I get a slightly stimulated feeling compounded with the intense euphoria, sedation, and trademark heavy eyelids that go hand in hand with over indulgence in opiates.

Lots of people get this effect from oxycodone, probably due to an increased release of histamine in the brain.

It's totally normal.
