So, I had the surgery last Monday and I am still taking the percs because of pain.
My husband has started joking that I am going to be an addict and telling me that seriously I will feel kind of crappy when I stop taking them. Is that right?
So quickly?
I don't know what else to do, because right now the pain really does suck.

Just become an addict and forget about it. I would give myself surgery if I could also prescribe myself Percs.

I had three wisdom teeth out, one other extraction, an infection cleaned out and a bone graph done.
I have titanium mesh and screws in my gums, I have a million stiches in the roof of my mouth and in my gums.....
I have had at the most two boiled eggs A DAY!!!!
Yes, I still feel like I need the percs and I am not usually a baby about pain. When I had hernia surgery I took them for maybe three days.
Don't crab at me about it, I feel like a jackass whiney baby as it is.

i really don't think ur gonna get addicted to them or have any type of withdrawl as long as u follow the directions ur doc gave u, even if u take them until they are gone. some people experience a little depression when they stop using them even at low doses. but if ur worried don't be stupid and take amts that other people use for recreational doses (ie. 5 at once)

smoke some marijuana... for my friend's surgery pains opiates just weren't enough. the combination made the person much more pleasant to be around as well.

LOL... I was half kidding. They're definantly addictive. But it's more of a psychological thing than anything. If they're not around I don't sweat it. If they (or OxyContin) is around, I won't say no. At worst I was taking Endocets for virtually 2 months straight 5 at a time. But I've never ever had any real withdrawal symptoms other than being cranky. I definantly like painkillers, they're my choice substances of abuse, but when they're not around I'm not calling everyone I know or robbing people for money to support my habit or anything. It's just what I do in place of drinking beer or smoking weed.

Tell us how many MG you have been taking per day...How often, etc.
After one week you MAY suffer some SLIGHT withdrawal symptoms, but they will be short lived and easily dealt with. Nothing to be concerned over.

I have 34 left out of 70 (yes, 70...don't ask me, they kept offering them and who says no?)
They are 5s and it has been eight days now.
so about 36 down, the first few days were 2 every two hours, but I have slowed down now.
I guess I will have to deal with it because I only took motrin all day, but had to give in to the hurt and take one a while ago.
