Percocets: Higher dose equals longer half-life...right?

Percocets: Higher dose equals longer high...right?

So I have a simple question; Dose adding more mg of Oxycodone increase the length of its effective time? I usually take 2 or 3 (5/325) generic Percocets, basically 10-15 mg is enough to get me pretty numbed out. BUT it only lasts 3 hours at maximum. Allegedly Percs are supposed to last 4 hours and more.
So I was wondering if I take 20-30 mg will it's length be drastically longer, or am I doomed to my very short half-life?
Any advice appreciated, I really need an answer preferably soon as I am getting ready to dose up for today.

Half-Life works by removing half of the dose of the drug depending on the drug's half-life.

So hypothetically let's say it takes 100hrs for your body to metabolize Valium, then if you took 20mg, then in 100hrs there'll be 10mg left.
If you increased the dose to.. let's say.. 40mg.. then in 100hrs 20mg will be left. So it works like this.

In the case of percs, increasing dose will increase intensity but half of the dose will be metabolized at each interval no matter what. You can't affect a drug's half life afaik. Maybe you can find a way to slow your metabolism. A full stomach will have the drug absorb slower and last longer. But if you're looking for a high then you just gonna have to jump on the opie train like everyone else did and build tolerance, then increase dose... then diff ROA then diff opie,, then H, then MMT then idk....

Hmm I think I should have used another word than Half-life. Actually I never meant half life, I meant how long the high lasts, I was in a hurry so I forget what exactly the half life is, I apologize for my ignorance. But thanks for the input

Yes, in theory. Just keep it simple and don't over complicate things. A half-life is the time it takes for half of said substance to be metabolized/excreted/deanimated etc. Larger doses would then, in theory, take longer to be metabolized.

Should've really used a better word than half life haha. I simply meant only the time you feel "numbed out" not the time it's in your body, blood, urine etc. All that I don't really care about, I just want to know if a larger dose will keep me numbed out for longer. I'm Just going to take 5 mg every 45 minutes until I get up to 30 mg. Hopfully that'll do it for me. Sorry for complicating it with "half-life" lol

^haha no problem, I get confused by this shit on a daily basis. In general a larger dose will make you higher for longer. For instance you hear of people who take mega doses of benzodiazepines, and even with say, alprazolam's short half-life, the user can be high for days.
