People With No Job And Studies to be Drafted (Mexico)

Well, bottom line, I think it's just a way to give these kids the chance to get a job, and no one has talked about yet about giving them military instruction and training, I think they'll just stack them in buearucratic and cleaning tasks, and driving officers around. Plus the physical training, which is a must.

Oh don't get me wrong, jobs/productivity is essential, but there's always something a bit unsettling about it coming via increased military industry, particularly in a country such as mx w/ the current WoD (you're from mx - are you saying you don't see more #'s in the military = more soldiers for the cartels? Even if none left, not the new soldiers or the old, it's just building a bigger firefight IMO, curious what you think on that.)

Well yes, it's just making the fight bigger, and in the end I think what we'll achieve (at most) is to get the cartels to move to south and central american countries. They already had the balls to threat (to kill) the president of Guatemala.
"Mexican cartel threatens Guatemala President". Telegraph.co.uk.

wow, seems vincente fox (president b4 calderon) is saying the same....
LINK IS IN SPANISH, sry will try and find a better one if I can ;P

Fox has always been against Calderon, I think that's a political issue.
Fox is very conservative and Calderon is a bit more liberal. Google "El Yunque" [The Anvil], a secret ultra conservative catholic society, to which Fox allegedly belongs.

I'm starting to think we need a big 'n dandy cartel thread....

Just randomly came across this, "UN wants mexico to withdraw army from WoD"
(remember, this wasn't a soldiers v cartel thing til calderon started it up some years ago.)
Haven't thought about that, it would be really interesting and I could get first-hand information.

Regards!
