Those would be the ones I mentioned above I suspect then. Poppy fields certainly exist (or at least existed) around those environs anyway.

..... all chopped up nice and fine, and full of kilowatt-hours of PE. About the perfect stuff to burn in a coal-fired power plant.
Would be one power plant I'd be reasonably happy about living down wind of.

All opium here comes from Spain, two types, one dried, one fresh, but I always assumed it was squatter types cultivating it, sort of like in that Vice documentary about the Czech republic.
Matter of fact I met people who had worked in such fields, back when I was still in a band and going to squats often, playing gigs and such.
Quality is unreliable though.
Last batch I tried, half a gram eaten was like 25 grams of kratom but less sedating. 300mgs was like a smaller dose of kratom with heavy limbs and less euphoria.
Vaped I just get heavy sedation, no euphoria, I don't think what we get is meant to be smoked, just eaten or made into tea.
Still I like the nodding/gouching you get when you vape it, I like the dreamy state it puts you in.
Not worth the going price though
It's weird but since last summer, opium has become available from the same type of people you buy MD, speed or ket. I've seen people casually vaping it at house parties, it's becoming fashionable, there was even an article on the newspaper talking about increased availability.

I've had two types. One many, many years ago that came from India or at least looked like an Indian design. Ffella I knew bought a very long necklace of opium beads that somebody had taken in to Oxfam - never know luck like it - gramme per bead and there were dozens of 'em. He paid a fiver for the whole thing or summat like that. Sillycheap considering what it actually was (obviously they didn't know that and nor did whoever donated it). It wasn't very refined and was quite like hash to look at only more brittle. I only tried smoking it (put bits on foil and kinda chased it - did try a pipe but was too oily and clogged it up) and it worked fine. Was pretty sedating, not incredibly strong but lasted me a couple days (over Xmas one year) cos I was very new to drugs and had essentially no opi-tolerance at the time. Other type I tried was a few years back and was much more refined. Was translucent - kinda orange-brown - and looked rather like beer bottle glass (well, any brown glass I suppose). That stuff was really nice to smoke - very euphoric and dreamy and a lot more potent. Was about for a while but only from one source I knew. I thought it was pretty good value for money myself but don't actually recall what I paid for it. I know I paid £7.50/g for the unrefined stuff years back and this wasn't much more from (unreliable) memory. Was incredibly with ketamine. One of my alltime fave combos
