Yep I play devils advocate often. There are many cases where I don't disagree, but also don't like to see a circle jerk, so I'll throw out the other sides perspective. Though I definitely do have Muh conspiracies lol

If one was transgender pre op and not on HT I'd say they good to go. Just being flat footed you can't get into the army, And you think someone with a major organ cut off on major hormones isn't at least somewhat impairing? This is why Trump Is in office bro
 
no. I'm not gonna listen to some moron say that trans women are impaired because they take hormones and pursue surgeries. Those are clinically accepted and life saving treatments.

Paedofiles are classified as having a mental illness, i'm sure they are a disparate marginalized social group.

But recently the army is letting some folks with a history of mental illness into their ranks, despite disqualifying others.


Some disorders are more debilitating than others, especially when it comes to difficult to categorize diseases such as those affecting the mind.

There would be some predisposition to depression and anxiety to ppl not comfortable with their sexuality or gender and maybe the opening of discussion of how to negotiate with yourself exactly who you are is a cure for the angst. Ir a relief at least.

Growing up is hard and growing up not being seen as "normal" would be very difficult.

This generation going through teens now, as hard as it is, would be freer to explore who they are than our grandparents who would have had to hide their sexuality if not the "normal heterosexual".


My uncle is in his 80s and never came out. He never will but his partner is by his side hile he has his hips replaced as his "friend".


We take for granted the ability to talk openly.

Maybe there is some mental confusion and that translates to illness. Its not illness. Its just having to deny who you are.

I would not react with good mental health having to hide anything.

Hiding drug use is hard enough. But my whole persona? Thats too hard.

Very true.

These treatments are now covered by most insurance and recognised for their necessity.

Hope to see more of you around here mate. Its ok to be passionate. Just note only a few ppl here are annoying and best just ignored or reported .

for somebody who frequently accuses people of not thinking, you do make the silliest statements sometimes, droppers. the flat foot things depends entirely on the severity and is generally only a problem if the extent of the condition impacts the candidate's ability to walk or causes pain. simply stating "you can't get into the army with flat feet" is an over-generalization and is incorrect.

I believe that people should keep some things to themselves.

For example, things like sexuality should be kept private. Its of my opinion that the direction the USA is going, is bit by bit taking away an individual's privacy. And I think this plays into the problem of LGBTQIA issues, because people feel they should disclose things such as pride and vanity, when they should have kept it to themselves.
 
Sometimes it is better to remain silent, if the alternative will incite hate. However, one should always speak out against evil, and promote the spread of truth and condemn lies.
