You fucking know, I post it enough
I didnt really know where to put this, thought that this seemed the most appropriate place.

For my university course i have to prepare and present an oral presentation on a peer reviewed article of my choice. I was hoping to present something about the effective use of psychedelic's in medicine. I'm struggling to find any articles to use that i could do a 10 minute oral presentation on.

Could anyone point my in the direction of a study that i could do a good presentation about.

preferably LSD, because another classmate did their presentation on MDMA, so i would like to top theirs with a good presentation related to LSD. I know there have been published studies on LSD, its just that i cant find or access the full study that i would need to prepare my presentation.

If not LSD, then another psychadelic, then psilocybin would be good.

Ive seen the cluster headache studies, but was hoping that there were other studies that i could present. Like the coping with death ones, i think there were some done on that, but cant find them and am not sure what drug was used to help.

since you're a university student, chances are that your school has subscriptions to journals/article databases available for you. my school does, and it is a really great benefit. i even get to log in from home and access everything through my library's website.

Perhaps your referring to this study in which Charles Grob is the PI. I think that one's funded by Heffter Research Institute.

I heard Grob give a talk about this study 4 years ago. What impressed me was his comment that it wasn't only about the person dying being able to cope with death that psilocybin helped. Giving such a drug to the dying person also helped those who knew them better cope with their impending death.

Coping meant acceptance of death not only for the dying, but also for those left behind.

that would be a great one for him to do, but has the study been published yet as it has it appears noted to have been concluded a fair while back

So if this study proves psi to be a great aid will it be moved to sched II and used clinically in these settings...something tell me i ssimply do not see that coming...
