Hi guys.

I've lurked here on and off for a number of years; hope to continue gaining and maybe someday sharing what little knowledge I may have, especially in regard to personal/legal safety.

I've been in and out of cocaine and heroin for the past ten years, IV'ed both for one of those years then returned to insufflation. Gave up H when moved to west coast since powder is hard to come by.

Two days ago I was two days in to a C insufflation binge and my nose had become useless so I grabbed sets. It'd been 4 years since shooting and I was never a prize-winning marksman but I destroyed both arms in short order, tweakishly reusing sets and shaking the whole time. My arms were more swollen and red than ever before from the skin pops and veins just kept disappearing. There was also blistering which was new to me.

I took two bactrim, soaked my arms in warm soapy water then rubbed down with bacitracin and vit E.

Woke up 24 hrs later. The arms look normally bruised and beat similar to old needle binge only with a few small blisters. Veins are pretty much gone. Missed another shot upon awaking then waited about an hour and finally connected just now.

Clearly I need to keep educating myself about safety.

Thanks guys, pretty much decided for the second time that needles and I just don't mix for more reasons than one. Besides being a bad shot I haven't found the rush enjoyable since an old OD on C. Just get anxious remembering when I said "this one's money", stood up feeling sweat rain on me and blacked out. Thank goodness I was with a friend who dragged me into a bathtub with icewater.

Was reading that thread during the binge, trainspotter, thanks again. Great info.

IVing is a different far less social/creative minded high. Exhilarating for sure though, if that's your thing I suggest skydiving, maybe after a few lines lol.
