I just got back last night from my family vacation. Spent 8 days at the lake with my family, which was wonderful, got to spend a lot of time with my nephews (ages 2 and 4), which I treasure, although it made me pretty glad I can step back and just be the fun uncle and not have to do all of the parenting stuff, lol. I got to snuggle, and read bedtime stories, and do kayak adventures with the older one, and all sorts of stuff, and could step back any time I wanted.
I also got to spend time with my siblings and mom. My brother is my best friend so I also treasured that.
What I didn't treasure was the 3 full days of travel nightmare at the end... we had 4 flights in a row canceled. It was madness. I spent probably 12 hours on the phone trying to get rebooked, in total. They kept putting me on flights that got canceled. It was like I was cursed. Finally, I got a flight to a town an hour a nd a half away that actually departed. Had a friend pick me up. Then the highway was inexplicably closed for 10 miles, cops everywhere but no construction or anything. So I had to wait at the airport for an extra hour and a half once I landed. The whole thing was super shitty. But the blessing in disguise was that my brother lives near the airport so I got to spend 3 extra days with my brother and nephews, when I wasn't working or on the phone at least. Thankful also that UI brought my work computer even though I was on vacation, because I have way too much work to do to miss 2 more days.
No worries man, I think we were just trying to articulate our points.
I still think, though, that there are probably some important pieces of the puzzle science is missing that might be related to polymorphs, or might be related to as of yet unnamed/undiscovered properties of molecules, which could impact the way they work in the brain, despite us currently being unable to differentiate two seemingly identical molecules from each other. I could certainly be wrong, of course. And likely am.
Thanks, yeah that was me. I found it on a google images search, I also love it.

I think you misinterpreted a bit of hyperbole I used there. In no way was I implying omniscience or that "what we know now is the pinnacle, that there are no mysteries or secrets left." That's an unreasonable extreme, don't you think? It would be comically arrogant, not to mention ignorant, for virtually anyone to think that… I mean, how about giving me more credit than that? is what I'm saying, bruv, ouch… I'm a little butt-hurt over here, lol
(EDIT: People misinterpret me often enough on this forum that I feel obligated to clarify – I'm mostly just kidding, and my feelings are not actually hurt. I just mean, I would hope by now you know I'm not some extremist and I rarely speak in absolutes. And my point is that we really do know quite a staggering amount of shit regarding this particular field of physical science, but I guess that's a bit subjective, isn't it? Anyway, I have nothing but respect for you, Xor-XorNo offense was intended. You seemed a bit defensive, which was never my intention.)
