It's interesting to see people voicing about how they don't consume psychedelics as often as they used to. The same goes for me. I haven't in months & don't plan to really either. Though I am a little interested in 2c-d, go figure.. Ironic since I'm steering away from the thirst to go balls to the wall anymore. I have my reasons.
Off topic story :
Tonight was the 5 month anniversary of my fathers death. (the 8th) Now on every 8th of the month something strange has happened on each night. The night of his death I saw a light above my house, it was standing still. This happened right as I pulled up to my house from getting home after my mother called me with the news. Before I walked into the house I saw the small hovering light above my house begin to move until I watched it fade off into the distance.
For every 8th of the month now I have seen either the same thing in the sky at night, or a shooting star catches my attention. It feels odd. But oddly comforting at the same time. It really spikes my skeptical side into confusion to be honest.
Now, I am a big sea glass collector & hunter. Since I've moved back home (to the shore) I've found myself hunting it more and more. It's a great past time and also is a great excuse to go smoke a joint on the beach. And boy are the rocks fun to look at

Day or night, it doesn't matter, if I'm at the beach, I'm glancing around for sea glass. I even equip myself at night with a super bright flashlight and have found many a piece of sea glass even at night time. Now any one who has seeked this gem of the beach out knows how hard it can be to find when you're particularly looking for it.
Tonight my girlfriend & I brought our dog to the beach, we bundled up, I brought a joint and figured it to be my perfect opportunity to stargaze and wait for my signal in the sky. I thought deep and came to the conclusion that it's something I shouldn't be seeking out, and though I had the ability to wait for it all night I found conformity in my thoughts that told me it was okay to not see it this time, for I had already seen it many times before..Enough times at that too.
It was beginning to get very cold & ontop of that I forgot my flashlight this time so no hunting for sea glass to occupy my time & thoughts.
I asked my girlfriend if she was ready to get going & we got ready to head back to the car. She was busy rounding up the puppy to get her on her leash to walk to the parking lot from the beach. I stood there, continuing to gaze and then I caught a shimmer on the ground. It was obviously a bright enough glare to catch my eye. I lost sight of it but moved my head around until I found the glare again. I honed in on it. It was a good 12-15 feet away from me in the sand. I walked slowly up to it as not to lose it's location. I got up to it, and it was the only thing I bent over for on the beach the entire time I was there. I also didn't really consider this a sea-glass hunt of a night. But sure enough, in the dead of night, in my hand, was a piece of smooth brown sea glass. (Which isn't that rare as far as sea glass goes. Purple sea glass can be found only up to 1 out of every 10,000 pieces you come across) but nonetheless I had somehow found a piece of sea glass in basically pitch black.
For what it's worth this story is not fabricated in anyway. I chose to tell my PD soc fam of all people.
