I can't own a gun because of my mmj card

Wtf state is this? That’s backwards as fuck. Yet folks that buy a fifth each night and drink can own whatever...

3g of San Pedro powder, 50ug of DOC, and 3-4mg of dextroamphetamine is an amazing combination so far. Given, I would likely be feeling super overstimulated if I had not spent two hours outside running 2.5mi, walking for almost a mile, and then river rock hopping (@Xorkoth I found an amazing spot! No water, it's an empty bed, but great rocks) for quite a while, with sun bathing sessions on rocks dispersed in between. Gah. So good.

Done similar to this combo, except LSD instead of DOC. I think people always assume negative things about mixing in amphetamine but I’ve found only positive so long as the dose is right. I typically use 2-10mg if it’s amphetamine and .5-2mg if it’s meth.

Ya it sucks one of my festivals has postponed to September, and the other two might not happen. Thankfully where I currently live there’s tons of remote camping areas to explore so a good amount of that will be my substitute :)

I'm in Fl

Think I can still own a rifle or shotgun but can't get a cnc.

Also interesting how now I can get my concentrates delivered to my house like food but not my pain meds even during this crisis.

Speaking of that been going through my stuff too quick lately and have been spending too much lately.

Yeah, my July festival got postponed to....the same weekend next year...so, effectively cancelled. Still hoping my September one pulls through.
As of now, all the bush camping is shut down in Ontario so I can't even go to my personal paradise....any one of them. So I'm hoping that fucks off by the end of May or it's going to be a shit year, and it just started.

Yeah my personal playground is closed too, all the trails off the Parkway. Well the trails are open but the Parkway is closed so I can't get to them

I found this out the hard way last week. Drove all the way out there to find it closed. Drove to my local park and it is closed too. I just wanted to climb a mountain. :(

Man I'm so jealous of you guys' nature parks, mountains, lakes and whatnot.

You should visit one sometime. I take people up to the local mountains at least once a year and usually give them some LSD for the adventure. I can time things where we're on the peak of the LSD when we reach the peak of the mountain. It's such a beautiful view and I've never had anyone complain about the hike. We usually spend an hour or two up there then come back down and swim in the lake before departing for my house to wind down.

Give me a date and location and I'll be there ;)

I had to declare bankruptcy 6 years ago. Ever since I've been working on my credit score, and it's up to 710 now average across the credit bureaus, solidly in "good", 40 points under "very good". :) It was like 400 after I did the bankruptcy. I recently paid off the credit debt I had built up during all my legal issues from the DUI and divorce. It's a blessing in disguise that this lockdown hit before I could refinance my mortage, as my credit score will be higher = lower rate, and home prices are actually rising because of very few people trying to sell, and most likely once the recover is in process they will bottom out the prime rate to stimulate the housing market. Actually the prime rate is already super low but mortgage lenders are nervous and so rates actually went up once the lockdown stuff started.

My guess is that in 1 more year (actually a little less I think) when the bankruptcy disappears off my credit report, it will shoot up into "very good".

Good on ya, mate! It's a rough slog.

I had a bunch of debts written off back in my early 20s and had to dick around with shit credit for 7 years. Couldn't get my own flat except at a couple of places where they didn't check credit.

Then I went and massed up a bunch of credit debt again and am now on a consumer proposal, which is easier to deal with than bankruptcy. They cut interest to 0%, lowered the amount owing to about 60% of what it was and I have five years to pay it, and can pay it sooner, which I am doing. It then dissappears a year after discharge, whenever that is.

710 is damn good for still having the bankruptcy on your report! Congrats!

I don't even know what mine is right now, nor do I care. I don't need it.

I try to avoid debt, but I own a house so it matters since I'm trying to refinance to pay for some much-needed repairs/upgrades.

Do you guys have the same credit system in Canada as we do?

Ah, I see....yeah, I rent and won't ever buy any property for anything but cash because as much as I didn't learn the first time, I sure as hell have learned after the second go around. I'm never touching debt again.

Yeah, I think the scoring is the same. The way the reports are done are deffo different though, because they differ even between our provinces. For example, a bankruptcy appears on one's record in Ontario for 7 years, whereas in Prince Edward Island it's 10 years, for example.

I think the same two companies deal with it here as in the US. In fact, I know Equifax is American, and I'm guessing TransUnion is as well. I think there might be a third agency that deals with credit here, but I'm not sure.

I also think things like consumer proposals are different in how they work....or do you guys even have those?

I need to deal with my debts. I owe something like $7-8k in credit card and credit line debt. Been ignoring it for way too long.

At least I have stable housing.

Debt sucks, but that's awesome you have housing, so important. I used to have, at my worst, $40k in unsecured debt (credit cards and a signature loan). It was horrific. Eventually declared bankruptcy because I had $1,150 a month in minimum payments and it would have taken me 25 years of that to pay them all off.

I have almost $13.8k in school loans I’m paying off $150 a month. After 10 years of stable payments I can apply to have the rest wipes clean and I’m about 3 years in to it.
I try not have any more than a couple hundred in credit card debt.

I have 4-5k in credit card debt. What's the best way to pay it down if you see it taking a while to get paid off and want to be less fucked by high interest rates?

I have a friend that consolidated with Upstart and he really liked it. Of course, you have to have the discipline to not dig yourself further into debt with your credit cards

Depends on what you're willing to do to pay it off and how hard it is for you to pay down.
You could try talking to the creditor directly.
Consumer proposal lowers the amount owed and decreases interest to 0% (in Canada anyway).

The amount you owe isn't really worth taking a hit on your credit though by doing something as drastic as a consumer proposal unless you're really struggling to pay it down.

I was at ~38k in credit cards with an average of 19% interest and the consumer proposal cut it to ~21k with 0% interest. I'm paying 350$/mth now as opposed to having paid 800-1000$/mth before the proposal and that amount was paying it down very slowly between the two cards and another debt I had then.

It's immensely improved my quality of life. More wine, less interest. ;)

It's also allowed me to save decent amounts of money whilst paying my debts off. Something I wasn't able to do before because I could not make returns larger than the interest I was paying so it didn't make financial/mathematical sense.
I'm now, just 7 months later well on my way to my semi-retirement plan in ten years.

Mind you, I now have a damaged credit report and credit score. Which I don't care about as I don't need credit now or in the foreseeable future. I have a home, I have a company vehicle, I'm not planning on buying property on debt. Also, the proposal is only listed on my report for 1 year after discharge, which can be a maximum of five years in Canada. So, at most 6 years. I can also apply for credit during it and have my credit utility accounts still building up my credit score as I'm paying all my bills.

Not sure if something like this is available where you are but it may be worth looking into if you're not able to keep up with your payments.

Also, I highly recommend Undebt.it to help simplify things and maybe make a plan of paying down your debt.

This site helped me a lot in the time before I had to give up and go with a consumer proposal.

You can make a payment plan and keep track of it which is immensely psychologically helpful.
