PAWS and Dexedrine

I quit opiates about 4 months ago after being prescribed pain meds for 2 years. I'm currently taking 30mg of Dexedrine daily, but it barely affects me, I'm guessing due to PAWS affecting my dopamine levels. I'm also on [edit]... not sure if it could be one of those meds affecting the Dexedrine?
Am I right that the Dexedrine isn't working well due to decreased dopamine levels due to PAWS?
If so, are there any ways to get the Dexedrine to work better or jump-start my dopamine somehow?

EDIT: If the antipsychotics are inhibiting dopamine production and thus leading to the decreased effect of Dexedrine; would Abilify have the same effect as it stabilizes the dopamine instead of blocking it altogether?

Since the Zyprexa and Latuda are >Atypical antipsychotics< then wouldn't they decrease dopamine activity or levels and thus could be hampering the effects of the Dex?

"The atypical antipsychotics (AAP) (also known as second generation antipsychotics (SGAs)) are a group of antipsychotic drugs (antipsychotic drugs in general are also known as major tranquilisers and neuroleptics although the latter is usually reserved for the typical antipsychotics) used to treat psychiatric conditions. Some atypical antipsychotics have received regulatory approval (e.g. by the FDA of the US, the TGA of Australia, the MHRA of the UK, etc.) for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, autism and as an adjunct in major depressive disorder.

Bingo: anti-psychotics severely attenuate the efficacy of classical stimulants.

It may not have the same effects. Why are you prescribed the dex and then why the antipsych if you dont mind me asking as this is kinda a unusual combo IMO? Also what are you hopping to gain from the increase in dopamine?

No. Its interaction with classical stimulants is unpredictable and not recommended.

No not at all lol I am actually looking to get more of an adrenal response, because stimulants in general are really the only thing that help me with my social anxiety out there.
 
So would antipsychotics take away the "adrenal" response of stimulants? That is a better way to put it. Sorry if that's what you meant already Ebola.
 
Adrenals promote what ever emotion you are experiencing, this combined with your anxiety will heighten the situation so i would think you would want to limit those. Think about the adrenal release in response to a fight of flight situation, the adrenals release make the fear or anger off the charts. So if you are looking to counteract an emotion like anxiety then you will want to limit the adrenal response when promoting the euphoric response of the dopamine and serotonin.

If you want to PM me about anxiety i have made significant strides in shutting what was a really uncomfortable issue down and may be able to share some of what worked for me.

Other than that GABA is the best weapon against anxiety in the short term but continued manipulation seems to create it in the end.
