hi
conservation and the environment are fields that I have always been passionate about.
a rapidly growing trend is that of greenbuilding: homes and buildings that are certified environmentally friendly. this entails the structures being crafted of materials that are easily renewable and not harmful to the earth, as well as using solar panels and utilizing similar "green" technology.
I'm in my last year of high school and am largely lost as to what I will do after graduating. however, this is of great interest to me and I feel it is worth pursuing since it can only grow more popular with the threat of global warming and more people becoming aware of the ways they can help and be energy-independent.
has anyone become involved in green architecture? does anyone know of schools with good programs promoting this? also what might I strive to study to educate myself about greenbuilding? thanks in advance, I really think this is the future.
