£100,000 of cocaine found in park

A member of the public out walking their dog in a Dungannon park has discovered cocaine with an estimated street value of more than £100,000.
The person found the drugs hidden in the Peatlands Park area of the town on Thursday morning.

They took the haul to a local police station where it was examined and confirmed as cocaine.

Police Sector Commander Tom Sinclair praised the person's "observance and prompt action".

A substantial quantity of a highly dangerous illegal drug had been taken out of circulation, Mr Sinclair added.

Anyone who regularly uses the park has been asked by the police to contact them if they have seen people or vehicles acting suspiciously in recent days or weeks.

Lol, part of me wishes I could find such a stash.. on the other hand, the person who took it and handed it in is a nutter - in Northern Ireland it just isn't worth it - chances are it belongs to a paramilitary group, or one of their "licensed" dealers and you're going to have some very dangerous people after your blood. Best just to leave it and walk on, lol.

hmmm, this guy shouldve kept quiet i think, with the dirty cops around it will be very easy for this cops name to get out and hence some people, (as said above) who would not be too happy with him, to chase him down for some possible re-imbursement :S

But damn, would love to hear the stories of someone who did fine and keep it, fuck there would be some mad nights
 
if u had hektik cop connections why would u be leaving that much coke sitting in a park i'd be keeping it on my mantlepiece

Don't know about killing (unless you stole it outright), but they might well smash up his legs with baseball bats spiked with nails which is a common form of punishment beating. A lot of the dealing in NI is controlled by the republican terrorist groups like the IRA or loyalist terrorist groups like the UVF, depsite their public "disaproval" of drugs and dealing.
 
If you decided to start selling it there maybe, flaunting your shit, but if you just buried it in your backyard for a couple months and told no-one then I wouldn't worry about it too much..

I'd just move to another state or province for a while...
