Yeah... i've been reading more and there's an absolutely dizzying amount of complexity in the little buggers

See JPET 314:485–494, 2005, Pharmacol Rev 57:147–161, 2005, and Annu. Rev. Pharmacol. Toxicol. 2006. 46:151–87 if anyone is interested in further discussion on this subject... lots of detail of AGS proteins, effectors and the like. Lots of ways g-protein activity can be modified and explnations for how differential signalling arises.

I'd love to do a writeup on the subject but I don't know enough about it yet... I figure I should at least get halfway through my degree before doing so, hehe. Agreed that changes in g-protein in R* state will play an important role, for it forms much of the basis of modification of activity! Also agreed that you could write a whole book on it, haha!
