The city of Los Angeles will host the 2028 Summer Olympic Games after reaching a deal with the IOC, meaning that Paris will host the Games four years earlier

Hopefully the constructed venues don't end like like Athens 2004 did.. although with that said Greece really suffered hard economically after 2008.

Athens post-Olympics looks so sad I also remember the half-finished venues crisis that occurred just before the games - none of it went well for them.

Fortunately L.A. already has all the infrastructure required and it's in regular use. Paris is going to have to build some new venues, but because it's such a large city, hopefully they'll be able to recycle any facilities that become underused.
