As a mother, I wish I had heard more hype on this http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/2002/s719324.htm
Than on all these Xtc busts & stats. This kind of thing makes my blood boil. We've all known that paracetamol can be harmful. I laugh when the ads comes on And on the bottom of the screen theres that little msg saying that it can be dangerous in higher doses. Anyways my point is, Dont you think this should be all over the news!! I mean, its only kids , isnt it??

This is a hard one, as I think paracetemol has a very useful place in society, as a dull pain killer, it definately couldn't be scheduled. I think its all about education. My mum always told me of the dangers of eating too much panadol, but was always open in the fact, that if I had a headache or something, it was a good way to get rid of it, unless of course I was taking it for long periods of time, or repeatedly day to day.

Fortunately this situation never arose. However I knew a girl when I was in high school who'd take upwards of 8 panadol at once, for period pain. I'd inform her of the dangers of it, she just laughed it off, no idea what state she's in now though.

I think its one of those things though, you can hurt yourself with lots of substances, knowing how to use them properly is the key.

paracetamol makes big bucks for the drug companies.. We live in a world full of lies and deciet and people are willing to distort the truth to make a buck. Same deal with anti-depressants. I went through hell for a year and i had to drop out of school because of side-effects relating to anti-depressant use. I wanted to take legal action but no doctor would speak out against them. Drug companies are evil. Its as simple as that

Why is it the drug companies fault that u had side effects from Anti-Depressants??? Surely if the side effects were that bad then you should have allerted your doctor and gotten something else perscribed?

I think Pandol and such things should also come with a warning about mixing with alcohol. I never knew until reading on Bluelight that alchol exponentialy increases the effect of paracetamol on the liver.

Nice Tits

A person i know works in a chemist as a stores person and she says its unbelievable the amount of people that abuse this drug. The amount of panadol sold was well ahead of any drug in the shop. i dont think companies would care to much about the abuse would they ?when profits are so high. would the government even look into the misuse of paracetomol. I have heard of many young people overdosing, but never any warnings in the media

Known for a long time about paracetamol and it's detrimental liver toxicity however;

How is the effect of Ibuprofen both alone and with alcohol on the liver???
