would be good to see paracetamol come with warnings on the packets.
we get a lot of paracetamol od's and if they cant get to the liver in time to flush it out, think its about 4 hours post ingestion, than its a rather slow death, so people who intentionally od have time to think about their often irreversible condition.
we had one young kid, 19 i think, that was taking paracetamol and codeine to help him sleep at night, after about 6 months he develop liver failure and died before he could get a transplant.
I can personally recommend milk thistle and omega 3s for tidying up my liver. I had abnormal ALT,AST,LDH and often billirubin, took these supplements and reduced alcohol intake and now my liver is tip top.
1/3 of my circulating red blood cells were what are called stomatocytes, which is evidence of liver damage, namely due to alcohol and fatty liver. These days a stomatocyte is nowhere to be seen.
If you have a few extra kilos around your waistline/gut area, dropping that quickly will also show a big improvement in liver function.
Its a good thing that hepatocytes are such tough little bugger and can regrow ( u can remove say 1/3 of your liver and over time it will grow back ).
thought the frothy pee was more of a sign that your kidneys are not coping with the excess protein.
