Painful.....
Dark, odious words spewed forth
regret lingers in the air
the world does not stop for this pain
what was once will never be again
the truth is lost in time
Turmoil befalls these two lost souls
poor wretched children forsaking one another
benediction is not found
three sides to every story they say-
mine, yours, and the ultimate truth
blame should have no part in this
for both were equally at fault here
time lingers on still
rage and fury grow into remorse
bitterness is replaced with resigning acceptance
will there be time enough to heal this gaping wound?
