Opioids Pain management drug testing

Hey guys I had a question and I posted with the opioids prefix because it has to do with pain management drug testing but not nessisarily pain meds. Every year I get 2 months of vacation from work and the first few days of that vacation I like to smoke a little pot and remember the good old days before I was just another working stiff. I get drug tested by my pain management doctor at office visits when I'm picking up a new script, but for the first time I'm getting epidural injections in my back it's an out patient procedure complete with anesthesia. I guess what I'm asking is will I be drug tested that day, or not later again until a regular appointment?

I just went thru a drug test nightmare at the pain mgt office I had been a patient at for over 8 years...I found out I was not labeled as a drug seeker or abuser according to them, so they only drug tested me the minimum number of times by law, which was once her year, and I looked at the past years and saw they did it in my birth month each year. Mine came back positive for morphine (from H) and I was quickly discharged and very quickly weened off methadone, which is not going well, I have spent over $800 this past week on dope just to get me thru the methadone w/ds.

If you have not had any problems at your pain mgt office, as in drug seeking behavior, asking for early refills more than normal, asking for dosage increases alot, etc. if all this is good, they will probably only do a drug test once a year...I would look at your records and see if they were doing it in your birth month regularly, however these drug testing laws vary by state, so my advice may not be accurate for you..(I live in KY btw).

We can't tell you if you're going to be drug tested or not, it is up to the clinic you go to.
