Please help something is going horribly wrong when I i.v.. I think the following may be a result of missing the vein and having the fluid go into my muscle. I frequently get hard spots on my arm, sometimes they're so big that they're lumps and they impair the movement of my arm and makes it very painful when I move it past a certain point. The pain and impairment of moving last's for a few days and they lumps sometimes last over two weeks. This can't be normal.

I think you injected subcutaneous, not in the muscle.

Seek medical attention, especially when it's getting worse like in your case.

I don't think a subcutaneous injection would include all these side effects.

I really don't want to go to the doctor because he is the one giving me my adderall prescription. I don't want to loose that. It's not getting worse it's getting better all the side effects are present within the first day and fade away. It's happened many times before and healed on its own. It's just very painful and I want to know what I'm doing wrong.

Wait..are you shooting Adderall? I ask because when I was 20 I managed to shoot up a huge amount of horribly filtered XR Adderall, and though I could have sworn I didn't miss, I wound up with a little lump under my vein that stayed there and seemed as hard as a rock for years.. However, either way you should go to a hospital than so that you can get medical care of some kind as it seems rather serious.

Your probably missing the vein or using the same spot enough that the drug mixture leaks out of the vein due to many I healed holes in the vein. That is definitely not normal as I IVed H for many years & due to being very clean & careful have no discernable track marks even though I have injected H literally thousands of times. If you're gonna keep IVing your DOC I highly suggest learning about rotating injection sites & safe injection practices. If your arm doesn't heal within a few days I'd also go to the doc or ER. Ever seen Requiem for a Dream?

And where? What needle did you use? You have to go pretty deep to inject into a muscle.
Can't you go to an ER instead of going to the doctor who prescribed the substance you used?

then go to the hospital. jesus.

I think the last time it happened I was injecting adderall. I filter a my shots by filtering them through an oral syringe stuffed with a little cotton, I'll do this twice with pills, then I'll suck it up through a cotton on a spoon. I think I'm just going to stick to plugging pills and only doing I.v. heroin. I really don't think there's a need to go to the hospital. I'll live and fully recover soon.

this is a good plan. that's a lot of work for such a shitty pay off. i.v. adderall lasts like an hour and never hits quite like you want it to. if you start to develop pain, localized heat, redness, or increased swelling there's really no way around getting medical attention. it sounds like you've been missing your shots. work on your technique if you continue to i.v. get smaller needles (5/16 inch, 30 guage is the ultimate hr needle in my experience) and if you dont think your in the vein, stop pushing. a missed shot completely defeats the purpose of i.v.ing and is really bad for you, so why continue to push a shot into your arm that isn't in the vein? good luck, and remember what I said about signs of infection. if it gets infected it's not likely to go away on it's own.

It sounds like you have really bad technique if you're getting lumps and these complications a lot.. I would do some serious research on perfecting your technique and learning safe practices before you continue to do serious damage.
