So at least by rumor this should be the king of all opiate highs...but has anyone actually gotten the chance to try injecting this?
How was it?
Did you just cream your pants instantly?

Is this the Dilaudids? If so I wasn't that impressed and I banged it. Yes it was nice but banging OC's or coke was much better. ( I know, "don't bang OC's")

I've been searching for that shit since the day I read that post. In my journey I have come to the conclusion that aids will be cured before I ever have any luck at scoring some of that liquid gold...

I have never heard of anyone who came across the rectal ones , but I wonder if there is another way to do it because if its too high of a dose ,sticking it all up your ass might be too much.

Even if oxymorphone was less potent than heroin (which it isn't) that wouldn't mean it isn't any more fun. Morphine and oxycodone seem to have roughly the same potency, but oxycodone is just so much more fun.

How do you figure that oxymorphone is weaker than heroin? The reccomended IV dose for oxymorphone is .5-1.5mg; for diamorphine (heroin), the IV dose is 5-10mg.

Let's assume that Oxymorphone is stronger than Heroin. If this is true, why would Heroin be illegal and Oxymorphone legal? I'm not about to start any fights, I'm just curious.

duhhhhhhhhhhhh cuz oxy morphone is used for medical purposes in the US and heroin isnt? why is alcohol legal when its worse for you then weed?

Fentanyl is stronger than heroin as well.
Heroin isnt scheduled simply because of how strong an opiate it is. There's alotta bullshit politics involved.

Shut up, smart ass. Heroin and Oxymorphone can both kill pain to nearly the same degree. I'm not even gonna bother with your stupid question.

Like someone said, heroin is illegal because of political bs mostly. The "if it was stronger why isn't it illegal?" is the biggest bullshit argument in the world.

Opiates more potent than heroin (Hydro/Oxy-morphone specifically) tend to have a similar "rush", while not retaining the same level of euphoria/calmness/etc. AFTER the rush that one does from something such as heroin or moprhine. Though I'm definitely not sure, I'd guess that drugs such as dilaudid and numorphan have shorter half-lifes than heroin (which has a half-life of two minutes).
As to why they are used medically:
While they don't retain the euphoria that heroin does, they are much more potent as analgesics, making it much more valuable to doctors (as much of today's professional world of medicine seems to consider anything that makes you feel good to be bad).

Downer, both oxy and hydro morphone have significantly longer than two minute half lives. Also the half life of heroin is extremely misleading as it is mostly converted into morphine.
Also I don't understand why you would believe this about all exceptionally potent opiate agonists. Both experience (i.e. the linked post, peoples experience with fentanyl etc..) and theory (the notion that it is selectivity between the differnt opiate receptor types and subtypes) seem to disagree with this broad sort of claim.
I am curious as to why they are used. I mean in terms of potency they are not a potent as the more common fentanyl (mg for mg) so my only guess is that they provide a greater anioceptive effect for a given level of respitory depression but this is just a guess.
