Oxymetazoline Nasal Spray (Afrin) Help?

It says "Compare to Afrin Original active ingredient" if that makes a difference at all. Anyway I've heard this stuff gives a decent high, but will start to really fuck up your nose after a while. So is there really any difference if you take it orally? Also how much does it take to get fucked up and also how much will make you O.D.? I mean I'm fairly short and like 55 kilos (about 120 pounds). Help would be much appreciated. (Also it says it contains 30 mL)

I think you are wasting your time trying to get high off Afrin, or its generic. Taking too much nasally can lead to rhinitis medicamentosa (rebound congestion) but that would be the least of your concerns. It is primarily an alpha 1 agonist which means it is a vasoconstrictor. Taking an overdose ( and I am not sure of how much is needed for OD) will do nothing more than raise your blood pressure. Now, many drugs when taken in massive dosages, tend to lose their selectivity, so you may get some beta agonism which could mimic an amphetamine-like effect (tachycardia, anxiety, etc) but there really is nothing more than anecdotes saying oxymetazoline produces the euphoria that true amphetamines cause. Basically you are risking too much, for too little.
