Just wonderin if teenagers are robbing pharmacies in other states besides Mass. for OC's...a few friends have been busted....whats goin on where you live?
PA - yeah this has been going on for quite some time around here. It's hard to find a pharmacy that even carries the drug. Most have big signs that read "We dont carry oxycontin."
actually, it seems the HYPE/MEDIA BS has decreased about OXY abuse..at least thats the way it seems to me..maybe im not keeping up to date or watching enuff TV..i dunno..
hopefully the hype about OC's has died down, cuz it really is an exaggerated problem IMO...
with OPIATES in general, ONLY RESPONSIBLE USERS NEED APPLY..
What's really funny about the media sensation around OxyContin is that there was NOT a problem by any means until the media made a big issue about it. My friends and I had known about the wonders of oxycodone for years. I had friends abusing Oxy 20's as early as 1996, when it first came out.
The drug savvy are always ahead of the game. A few junkies figured it out and you had a few deaths. It wasn't a big deal. More people had died from ephedra. The media was bored and public awareness of the drug can be directly linked to the problem this drug caused and is causing.
Yes, it's a problem everywhere.. lets not fuel the fire here..
