So I was prescribed clonidine and valium which I took as normal one of each pill 3 times a day, but today exactly one week after my last dose I was feeling good and took my first dose later than normal and completely skipped my second dose feeling good and all, but now that it has come around two when I usually take my third dose I started feeling nausea, anxiety, and overall physical/mental discomfort also chills all of which were to be expected in the first couple days (which I NEVER experienced?!) and now I have diarrhea, haven't puked yet, managed to eat a salad and some bread and took half of what I would have took for my second dose as well as a gravol unfortunantly have no imodiom for tonight. But I'm just wondering if my"positive" feelings this mornings were simply in my head? Or what? I guess I wasn't expecting to notice such a drastic change if I skipped a dosage as I was feeling so positive and physically healthy.

Sorry if it is hard to understand I am currently writing this on the TOILET ha ha. Just please if anyone could give me some info or advice it would be MUCH appreciated, and as far as cravings for oxy its self go..They haven't been bad at all.

OH also for the first 5 days I smoked pot a couple times a day but the last day and today I have been unable to, could that be do to the "withdrawals" I am experiencing now? Alright sorry for the long post. Just need some help.

A forward thanks!

Luke

I am confused... You described taking clonidine and Valium. But never described your oxy usage... Are you asking if what you were experiencing (nausea, diarrhea, chills, etc) was withdrawals? Could be, depending on what your oxy habit was like and for how long you were doing it. But everyone experiences withdrawals differently...

Sorry, I had been taking oxy recreationally for a year and a few months and only starting taking over 80mg a day for about a month so I am lucky I stopped when I did. I am just concerned because I was taking 5mg of valium and .1 of clonidine 3 times daily and never really got a chance to experience W/d symptoms so I had a feelign in my mind that considering how well I was feeling mentally/physically one week after stopping that I wouldn't experience these symptoms after skipping ONE dose. So yeah I dunno.

skipping one dose of what? oxy? when you skip a dose, you will be getting into withdrawals...

Ok. So you stopped taking everything completely? I agree with the other posters, prob experiencing minor WD's from the combo of scripts you were taking. I'm not familiar with benzo WD but I know it can be hell. I've been using oxy for about 2 years with about 120-150mg a day. I'm a 105lb female. I've been clean for the past 40 days or so and I didn't experience too bad of WD's if even at all and I quit cold turkey. However i would go 3 days without my dose here and there and felt like I was going to die. So it all really depends... If you aren't having any WD symptoms now, after about a week without using then the worst is prob over for you. You are incredibly lucky!

hmmm you mentioned immodium how often are you taking that and i\at what dose? See it is an opiate related to fentanyl that does not cross the blood brain barrier its possible that it is prolonging your withdrawl.

Are you serious? Imodium is an over-the-counter anti-diarrheal and has nothing to do with narcotics. It is, however, a very good product if you have the runs. Sorry, it is true though. Give me a break.

I never used imodiom, was wanting to but that "business" only lasted a couple days. I am now on day 9 of NO oxy, and have continued with the recommended dosage of medication. Although I COULD be taking 10mg of valium at a time with 0.1mg of clonidine I just stick to 5mg of valium just to be on the safe side, usually smoke some weed along with that which REALLY prolongs the times between when I feel I need to re dose with the Diazepam (valium) and Clonidine. I think I'm almost done physical withdrawals and am almost confident I am, But I am afraid to stop taking the meds until at least 2 weeks after my last usage of oxy. The difficult part for me now is all mental, I still wake up at around 4 every morning and CANNOT stop thinking about doing line after line of oxy or imagining busting the pill or sucking the coating off. Mentally it's very difficult and I will likely go to some form of counselling or w.e after a month or so of being clean to help me learn "tools" for overcoming cravings...However I have no intentions to stop smoking weed but I've tapered that down ALOT as well, not sure why, I just don't need to smoke as much as I did.

Again sorry if that was difficult to read. I'm just sorta spilling my thoughts in a nice and messy manor.

Thanks for the responses guys! It's been a struggle getting off the hard drugs, I've always had such an addictive personality. But I want this to be the end of my addiction to hard shit. weed and the occasional drinks aren't going anywhere :P

dude, that is the hardest part for me also. i can handle any physical withdrawal, although it may be tough & feels like hell. but at least you know that it WILL be over at some point. with the mental withdrawal, the craving of having that sweet blue powder entering your nose... mmm. that will NEVER go away. think about it everyday man! -.-

Good luck! & glad everything is going well for you. keep your head in the state of mind you are in, UP!

That's not true, Immodium is indeed an opioid, it just doesn't cross the BBB/get you high

I'm getting a bit tired repeating myself, but loperamide (immodium) does cross the BBB, just in very small amounts. You won't get a decent high from it, but large doses help immensely with all WD symptoms, up to eliminating them completely if you haven't got a monster habit. By large doses I mean, again depending in your habit, 30mg and upwards, relief sets in after a couple of hours, normally lasts a whole day and the constipation isn't worse than the one you get from recreational doses of other opiates. Tapering off it is also easy, so stock up on generic lope, you won't regret it.

Tapering off loperamide is easy? I have been afraid to try it to help me with tapering off methadone because I've seen so many people on this forum say it creates its own horrible dependence and unbearable withdrawals. I can't imagine it could be as bad as methadone though. Also does anyone know whether it shows up in urine as an opiate, or is that a forbidden question? I wouldn't want my doctor to think I was using heroin or something.

Technically you're correct, but the amount that does cross the BBB is negligible, but I suppose I should have said it doesn't cross the BBB significantly
