I see a PM doctor monthly as a result of some lower back problems. For over a year, I was getting scripted 120 oxycodone 15MG IRs. Yesterday, my PM doc asked what I thought about trying oxycontin OP 30mg for a while. Initially, I was hesitant. I know that the OPs are different from what the OCs used to be. Even though oxycontin is new to me and I was fond of my 15 IRs, I decided to give the oxycontin a try. My doc told me if I was unhappy with the contin for any reason, I could just bring in whatever I did not use and he would swap them out for my IRs. He ended up scripting me 60 oxycontin OP 30mgs and 60 oxycodone 15 IRs, just in case I wasn't happy with the contin.
Despite taking my first oxycontin 30mg today, I don't have any real feeling one way or another other than feeling a little f'd up and nauseous. Is oxycontin OP 30mg still considered a feel good drug, despite the anti-abuse properties? Any suggestions? I am curious as to what the preference and pros/cons are between these two drugs?
Would appreciate any and all feedback..
