Oxycontin Newbie

Hi there, i am a student and I am currently completing a research study into the popular pharmaceutical drug Oxycontin. I was hoping to glean some information from users of the drug to help me with my study.

1) How many mg of oxy do you consume per day ?
2) How many mg of oxy do you use at a time ?
3) What is your preferred method of consumption?
4) What is the most number of oxy pills(mg) did you use per day ?
5) Are you solely using oxy for a recreational purpose ?


If you are a user please answer those questions. Thanks alot for taking the time to reply I really appreciate it.

1) ~300-500mg per day until i run out
2) ~150-200mg, depends on how i'm feeling
3) intravenous
4) from what I can remember, the most I've done in a day is 9 80mg pills
5) no, I have pain issues as well

1) 60 - 90 mg depending upon the last time I've dosed and whether or not my tolerance has gone down
2) 60 - 90 mg, again, depending upon all of those aforementioned things
3) Intranasal
4) I believe that must have been about 180 mg or so in one day

*I would just like to make a note that uh, well, oxycontin is not sought-after much anymore because of the new formula. I have switched to oxycontin's less-finicky brother, the roxy!

I would PM the moderators to see if you could get this turned into some sort of poll question instead of just relying on people reading through the post. There are a huge amount of users/members on Bluelight that would be able to provide useful information for your study...although only some of them read the "Basic Drug Discussion" forum... Or maybe Drug Studies' moderator would be best to contact, I'm not exactly sure which one, but I would get in touch with a moderator.

Also, the title of the post makes it look like you have a question about taking OxyContin, not other people's habits with it.

Just my .02, also:

1) 20 - 30 mg
2) 10 - 20 mg
3) Intranasal and oral being about the same, oxycodone has excellent oral BA
4) Probably somewhere between 40 and 50mg
5) Yes

*I would also like to note that oxycodone isn't my drug of choice (you'll see "DOC" on this forum a lot), but hydrocodone and hydromorphone are. They're all opiates but since it looks like you're only doing research on OxyContin I wish I could help you more, good luck with your research.
