Opioids OxyContin IV -- no micron, am worried.

So, I've been meaning to address this for AGES now, but I know I won't like what I hear. Oh, also, if this is the wrong forum then feel free to delete/move it.

I've been shooting OxyContin (the classic, abusable ones) 20mg (Along with OxyNorm 20, but I'm not so worried about that) .. Anyway, I've been doing this without a micro filter every day for about 18 months to 2 years, except for a brief stint in prison, and honestly I'm really worried about what it's doing to me. My shots are milky white, I don't even take the coating off them because (and I know it's stupid) I crave the taste it gives me in my mouth.. If I taste that then I know it's done it's job and I'm about to not feel sick anymore.

Basically, I'm wondering if anyone has any (legitimate) idea what this might be doing to me. I don't want to hear "LOL DOOD ITS BAD 4 UZ" because I know that. I put it through a cotton filter of course, but it's still pretty milky.

I'm going on the methadone program very soon, so obviously I'll be stopping this practice in the next 2 weeks or so but I'd like to know if I've done and permanent damage or how I could find out if I have/areas at high risk/ etc ec.

Probably the biggest risk is talcosis--the talc in the pills (an inactive binder) will get deposited in the tissues of your lungs as it flows through your pulmonary capillaries. Basically the talc gets deposited, certain cells try to come and eat it, but they can't digest it, and it just sits there.

Nothing you can do about it at this point, though, so your only option is to stop now, get on the Methadone and hope the damage wasn't significant.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I've tried to talk about it with a couple of friends -- but most of them are, well, typical drug addicts and don't give a fuck about their bodies. My lungs hurt now D: But yeah, thanks, should be on the methadone in a couple of weeks - yay!

You are definitely causing serious damage to your body, particularly your lungs, where the fine blood vessels are becoming clogged with talc and silicon.

This is why you're suppose to micron filter, but it's too late now, good job deciding to start methadone! Just quit the needle, once you get rid of the IV addiction, you're almost out of the woods.

I don't know anything about this but if I was you, I would go speak to my doctor about it. Maybe there is something he can do to reverse or decrease the damage done. In any event, it certainly wouldn't hurt!

Yeah, you're not really going to know unless you get checked out by a doctor.. all types of problems could arise.. you could also be totally fine. The last time I went to the doctor I didn't get the best news as far as the damage done to my body from injecting drugs... but he mainly blamed all the IV coke, though I'm sure that all other shit didn't help.

Highest risk is death of a thrombosis. This can happen in the heart (heart attack) or anywhere else in your body. You could die almost instantly after the shot... well, you'd be possibly able to call an ambulance but the time they get there WHEN something like that happens you'll already be dead. As hard as it sounds, it's the worst case scenario. GET MICRON FILTERS FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!

I shot original oc's (Europe - they're still produced in Europe) for two years, but WITH micron-filters. I shot it once without micron-filter. Filtered it 10 freaking times with Q-tips. I could still see small particles and it was not totally clear. After injecting it, I got a really unpleasant feeling in my chest, and my heart rate went up to 160+.

Because the particles are smaller than what the eye can see but still big enough to cause the kinds of internal damage listed above in various posts. Consider something like river water. It can look clear as a bell but under a microscope is teeming with bacteria. I used to work at a waste water plant. The final effluent was as clear as drinking water, but there is no way in hell I would have drank it (even tho it was chlor and dechlorinated). There's a thing call TSS, it stands for Total Suspended Solids, and it's a measure of how many solids in ppm are in wastewater. Unless there is a TON of them, like from an intermediate plant process, you cant see them in the final effluent.

I'd bet if you put a drop of an oxy shot on a slide and put in under a microscope you'd see all kinds of crap.

And that's why everybody should use micron filters. For everything. For pills it's a MUST. For everything else (heroin, cocaine...) I'd say it's a must too (for me).

Please, folks, use micron-filters and don't look for excuses not to buy and use them. I don't get it... what some people consider "clear" is milky to me. For example, there is something I shot/shoot that contains wax and talc. The wax is easily removedby cooking and cooling (but still, some of the wax is in the "solution" in the form of very very small particles, so keep this in mind), and most people shoot it then. But I held it against a bright light and pulled and pushed the plunger a little bit so I could see the particles moving. They are so tiny, it's unbelievable. When you look at the shot, it looks perfectly clear. And even eagainst the very bright light, they can only be seen when you have VERY good eyes and when you're patient (you need to focus on them, because they're THAT tiny).

But when you push that stuff through a micron-filter, it's unbelievable. The filtered shot is MUCH clearer than the unfiltered shot. I mean, it's really unbelievable. The non-micron-filtered shot almost looks milky in comparison, although when I didn't know micron-filtering, it looked PERFECTLY clear to me!

Please buy and use micron-filters! I can't stress this enough. It would safe so many lives if the needle exchanges in Europe would give them for free to people. But they don't even know them! Sad but true.

Yes. There's deffinedly a rush. I think it depends tolerance and such. It's not a tush anything CLOSE to opana IR's, dialudid, or heroin...but still...loading 90mg's (3 blues....I wouldnt even attempt to shoot a new OP) and pushing down that plunger in one swift move you feel NICE.

Wash off coating. Crush to fine dust. Dissolve in cold water, stir, stir stir, let it sit for a few minutes. Cotton ball, draw up into syringe. Filter through micron-filter. Flush micron-filter. Tourniquet on your arm - tight! Shoot the 1-3ml of oxy solution (highly concentrated! I do 160mg/2ml when I shoot it) into your veins AS FAST AS POSSIBLE and as soon as it's all in your veins, release the tourniquet. This way, all the solution will get into your brain very fast and the rush will be intense. I always feel a very "hot" feeling in my chest and neck. Unbelievably great.

I know... you shouldn't shoot without removing the tourniquet. But normal veins can stand 1-3ml of volume. They're elastic and I don't know anybody who bursted a vein by doing this. But if you don't feel good doing this, don't do it. It's just a way to improve the oxycodone rush.

BUT PLEASE:
Don't do this with morphine! Always inject morphine very slowly. The very intense histamine reaction could kill you. I nearly died this way several times - totally unexpected. The dose was the same, but I injected just a little bit too fast. My entire body swell up, I looked like an elephant man and I felt like a hot, painful sponge. My heart pounded in my chest and my head ached as hell. I could feel the blood vessels of my brain, and they hurt so much... a little bit more, I think, and they would have burst. I couldn't breath properly and after 2 minutes, I kinda blacked out. I "awoke" when a close person found me 10 minutes later and cooled my face with a wet towel.
Be careful when injecting morphine!

Do not shoot without loosening the tourniquet like sweetstuff says. He/claims veins can stand 1-3ml of volume... first of all is there a source for that statement? Second of all you 'veins' is such a general term.. depending where on your body you are shooting you DEFINITELY could blow a vein doing it like that. Then on top of that you say to shoot it as fast as you can, also bad advice because first of all if you slip out by accident youve probably wasted almost all your shot. A shot should be gental not traumatic for your body. If you want a rush so so bad you have to artifically create one, just get an opiate that actually has a rush. Seriously though man what if someon etakes your advice and is shooting in this small vein they would onyl hit with a 30g pin thats in their hand and they are like "duurrr ok do not release tourni and push hard as fuck once I register" Bam they end up blowing a vein. You dont know anyone who has blwon a vein doing that.. great.. I don't know anyone who has died from hitting them self in the head with a hammer repeatedly. Lemme try that.

It's hard to believe claims of oxycodone giving you a rush when IV'd but every so often someoen does post that they feel a rush.. and I mean why lie? id assume they really do feel what they imagine a rush to be. If the day ever comes that they try shooting coke, and they get smacked over the head with a brick wall of straight up heaven, their idea or what a rush is JUST MIGHT change lol.

I mean if you consider getting high right away a rush than y eah.... but if you've ever shot anything else like heroin, coke, mephedrone, etc.. you would know what a rush is and honestly shooting oxy is stupid IMO. No rush, super short high considering the high of oxy is short to begin with. Just eat it..

Shoot a speedball (safe doses of course), in fact make the speedball super weak, and you will still be blwon away by the rush and you'll be like '...so this is what everyone's talking about when they say oxy has no rush' lol

LOL I remember this kid in college said wen he shoots oxy he would get a 5 inute rush.. he said the oxy wopuld cycle through his body a few times and its be like a hard rush evdry time it cycled...i dunno whatever, complete bullshit. Hes a compulsive liar. He looks down on me for shooting a bundle a day when he sniffs a minimum of twenty 30mg oxy IR's daily. AND he busts his ass to middle man so he can get his 20 pills.. me on the other hand depending where I shop and what I want.. Anyway...hes in jail now like he deserves to be because he rips off everyone. I saw his most recent charges on the florida mugshot site. I am assuming he has fake oc's or something. And he got caught tryin to sell them on the main strip at college too what a dumb fuck.
