Usually the Oxycontin I get comes in 2o, 40, or 80mg form, but yesterday I was lookin for socks and I noticed my dad had some prescription pills due to his sever flu. I checked it out and read "Oxycodone - Generic for Percaset" on the bottle. Could this be the same as Oxycontin? I looked it up on Erowid and it checked out, but now I am a little more confused. The prescription pills for my dad were a lot larger than any pill I had ever gotten, but the images on Erowid show it to be a 5.0 mg tablet (the pill on the right). That seems to be a lot smaller amount than any 20, 40, 80mg tablet, so why is it so much bigger? Will it give the same effects as the smaller pills?

But am i right in thinking there's a lot less Oxy in the big 5.0 mg one? Like if i wanted to do the same amount of a small 20mg pill, I'd have to snort 4 of these huge ass pills?

The 5 mg Percosets are generally comboed with 325 mg of apap, so you'll probably be taking 1300 mg of crap if you swallow 4.
1300 probably won't hurt you as a one-time deal, but your liver can start getting damaged with WAY less than 7000 mg of apap. If you do take fairly large amounts of apap regularly, your liver will stay much healthier if you take milk thistle, an OTC herbal supplement available at almost any pharmacy.

Honestly, you should only be worried about the APAP if you have a habit. If you are just using them for recreation then your dosage will probably not be near a level where you should worry. I have stated this before, but when I was addicted to Hydrocodone I would take over 5grams of APAP a day. You will be ok.
