I'll start this off by saying that I have been a heroin user for about 5 years. I've been on suboxone, and methadone, and despite these three, the only other opiates I've ever tried were hydrocodone, percocet, and fentanyl.
Last friday, I was given 5 opana IR 10 mg and one OC 40. I have been using suboxone for the past 5 months, and within the last few weeks, my dosage was lowered to .5 mg a day I.V.
Anyway, I wanted to make this thread, as a sort of comparison between two opiates that I had ALWAYS wanted to try. I wanted to I.V them both, as I was curious as to what kind of rush they would provide. I have often heard much debate abut O.C I.V. Some say it gives a crazy rush, others say it gives no rush. Anyway, enough blabber.
I decided to do the oxycontin first, and then wait for the morning for the Opana. Keep in mind I hadn't used any buprenorphine in about 16 hours at this point.
I was impressed at how easy it was to draw up the oxycodone. I was further impressed by the fact that the solution was crystal clear. I stuck the rig in my arm, drew up, and pushed down.
For about five seconds I sat there thinking "I hope the suboxone wont block this". at around the seven second point, the oxycodone began to hit in. It was a slower ride than heroin for sure. At first I just tasted that familiiar dope taste in my mouth, and then I began to feel relaxation spread through my body. The high was a lot like heroin, minus the rush and instant nod, which was kind of weird but in a way good. There really isn't a rush in the traditional sense, you just feel the oxycodone hit you within 10 seconds. The high was nice, very euphoric, though a bit short lasting. I went outside and smoked a cigarette.
The next morning, I decided to give the infamous Opana a shot (literally). I heard that when I.V'd opana was about 10x stronger than oxycontin. I always imagined that to have to be an exageration, but I decided to play it safe, and start off with a 2.5 mg shot. I stuck the needle in, registered, and injected.
Before I could finish the shot, I felt this incredible feeling stem up from my legs. It was like a great wonderful pressure (if that makes sense to you). Very intense. This lasted about 5 seconds, and the feeling spread throughout my whole body. Then, the rush entered it's second phase, in which that pressure was released, which peaked again at 5 seconds, but lasted probably 15. The high was much like heroin, sedating, euphoric, great nods. The only difference, is that it was shorter lasting.
All in all I had an extremely pleasant experience with both drugs. What really shocked me though, was the oxycontin. I've heard strength comparisons between it and heroin many times, and always wondered why it was so much more expensive. 40 mg felt TO ME, like the strength if I did one bag of medium quality dope.
2.5 mg of Opana IR, felt much stronger that the 40 of OC, which leads me to support this 10x (or more) school of thought. I am really shocked that this stuff is prescribed in this country. IMO, it has a better rush than heroin, and it's easy as hell to dissolve.
All in all, Oxycontin was a bit of a let down, due to the duration (next time I'll sniff or plg), but Opana far exceeded my expectations. In fact, I just shot 7.5 mg about 40 minutes ago, and I've been nodding on and off while writing this.
