Don't IM or sub-Q (under the skin) oxycontin, a particle in your muscle can be worse then in your bloodstream. Most of the lumps on my inner elbows that wont go away so easily are a result of accidently missing the vein and administering under the skin. Also, the effects from IM'ing oxycontin are very similar to snorting, so if you want this effect just snort the drug, without most of the risk. Taking intravenously is still a risky thing to do, especially on a regular basis, but is the most practical mode if you want to inject this drug. Problem is, to prepare this drug for injection correctly, you must practice its preparation to get it down right, unfortunately at the expense of your veins/health. I really enjoy IV'ing large doses of this drug, but i try to abstain as much as possible, now that is. Also, higher strenght pills are more suitable for injection, as they have a better drug to binder ratio. I would not recommend shooting oxycontin for your first injection, as you would probably screw up its preparation, and lodge most of it under your skin.

in regards to complete harm reduction, pills should never ever be injected. these faq's are for the people who choose to ignore this advice.
