Oxycontin and a massage?

Hello everyone,

I know this is about to sound slightly pathetic and paranoid but,

Am I ok to have a massage whilst taking Oxycontin?

The reason I ask is that at my last massage I had, I had taken a relatively large dose of Valium (for extreme flying Phobia) and it seemed like the massage "loosened" up the residual Valium I had in my system at the time and it made me feel like I had taken another dose of the drug all over again.

I dont want to have a bunch of Oxy released in the one hit making me either sleepy or possibly on the verge of an overdose.

So yeah, any replies would be greatly appreciated as my appointment is this afternoon and I'd rather ring and cancel early if I have to.

Regard,

BG.

This reminds me of something. One time, the next morning after using oxycontin I drank a couple glasses of water.
Suddenly it felt like a big oxy surge and was so intense it made me vomit. So I can see a massage doing something similar.

This combination would be perfect... unless you're going for a happy ending ;)

Drugs are absorbed, then ultimately wind up in the brain, where they do their neuro-magick. Getting a massage isn't going to stir up chemicals chilling throughout your body lol :).

since benzos get stored in fat cells, i don't think a massage would work them out and give you a dose lol. I'm not really sure on that though, if anyone knows please chime in.

i don't see any issue with oxy and a massage, except it's probably going to be pretty relaxing. try not to fall asleep lol.

As for the benzo's, the last massage I had did stir up the Valium that's for sure. About 8 hours after the initial dose I physically felt the drugs come on again after the massage. It's pretty proven that a deep tissue massage helps push toxins out of the interstitial cells and the lymphatic system. I'm just glad the oxy isn't stored/absorbed by the interstitial tissue or it would have been a waste of a good massage I think.
