Hi all. I'm not a regular poster here...but this thread was cool so I thought I'd reply with my wealth of knowledge in this area. I'm in the biology field so I know how this stuff works on your body.
So lets clarify some of the points here:
- Oxycontin and percocet have the same opiate (oxycodone). the difference is that oxyC is time realeased and pers are not have are mixed with tylenol.
- because percs are mixed with tylenol, you should NEVER snort percs or drink alcohol while taking percs. Alcohol and tylenol is a toxic combination for your liver.
- OxyC is time released but the coating has nothing to do with the time release. In order to break the time release you don't have to crush the pill...cutting it in half does the trick. Of course if you want to rail it, crushing seems to work best

- Opiates have VERY different effects of people. It depends not only on their opiate tolerance, but the amount and size of opiode receptors in the brain. Some people are good with 5mg of oxycodone (the active ingredient) to start while others may need 20. Doctors have a very tough time discerning between patients that truly need a stronger dosage and those that are "drug seeking"
- I know this sounds disgusting, but the best way to take opiates is rectally. THis means crushing up a pill and mixing it with a bit of hot water (it will cool very rapidly) so that it disolves into a waterery liquid. THen, suck up the stuff into a syringe without a needle, and stick it up your arse and shoot it in there. THis sound disgusting, but opiates work 10% better when taken rectally. Also, this method bypasses the problem of food in the stomach (which hampers the absorbtion of oxycodone when ingested through the mouth). Seriously, try this!!!
Hope this helps.
