Hi guys! Im a new member of blue light. But I have came to this site many times and have left with a lot of great answers. But right to the topic.
I have taken 6 Oxycodone APAP 5-325 generic percocets a little while ago. I have never done this before but enjoyed it a lot. But I am having a lot of trouble sleeping at the moment. I keeps having very realistic feeling dreams and what ever he does he wakes up doing it. Example, I punched a punching bag in a dream, and woke up swinging at the air. This keeps happening with a lot of different dreams and he gets about 3 minutes of sleep each time. Has anyone had something similar happen?

You're experiencing the nod or dream like state caused by opiates. You're not quite asleep, but you're not quite awake, and are essentially experiencing vivid day dreams.

Totally normal on opiates.

Thanks for replying. Yeah I woke up getting hot flashes and feeling sick to his stomach. Definitely a small price to pay for that experience. Does someone have any tips for next time to maybe avoid the "hang over" type feeling?

Hang overs are sometimes a part of using a substance but generally they are caused by dosing a bit too high. The fact you were nodding means you were on a high dose for your tolerance and when your first starting using opiates nodding at night means being sick in the morning IME.

Because I'm not on a computer I will save the inevitable lecture for someone else to give you ;)

Also welcome and all that fun stuff!!!

Exactly.
It also happens when you are awake during the day so be careful.

The Oxy Nod

In the 3 years I've been taking Oxycodone 15 mg, every afternoon, I reach a point where I'm so fatigued I have stop everything. And 20-30 minutes of rest will seem like 1-2 hours, sometimes with "crazy dreams". Also, I've read about long term usage of Opiates, and one of the side affects is a type of "Myoclonic jerk", muscle type spasm or jerk. When I'm really fatigued (not asleep) these "jerks" can fire off from one end of the body to the other. I can't
even get an MRI without taking a couple Valium. I'm curious if you've noticed similar side affect from taking Oxy? :?

Yeah it was very similar to that. It got to the point were it was just sooo hard to fall asleep I just kept nodding and dreaming but staying awake. This was a first time thing. It was awesome and I was wondering if it is (from personal experience) something I shouldn't do very often. Also, why can't I say SWIM?? Someone changed swim to I in my original post.

It's against the BLUA that whole "read before posting" deal... we can forgive the whole "missing the part about not using swim" because surely you read the rules ;)

All it does is clutter up the forum and doesn't provide any legal protection, your original post was edited by a mod as it broke forum guidelines.

Hi I'm new to blue light so forgive me if I say the wrong thing or if this is in the wrong place... I have a question about oxycodone dosing. I have a moderate opiate tolerance and I usually take 6 10mg norco or 8-12mg dilaudid iv... Im not familiar with percocet but is 20mg comparable?

Take promethazine 30 mins before hand for nausea hot flushes n all the histamine release side effects

Or stop using that much if you are just beginning. We all know what this will lead to. Sorry man, just trying to help!

I'm not really just beginning... I'm an off and on user been that way about 7 seven years. I've never had a problem with opiate addiction and I don't really get withdrawals. When I come across something I like, I do it. Now other drugs... that's the catch.

Harm reduction - 6 pills containing apap at one time is advised against. That's 1950 mg acetaminophen at once. FDA recommends no more than 1000 at once but that's being very careful. No more than 4g's per 24 hour period. If you need that much hydro, perform a cold water extraction. To find out how, UTSE.
