Oxycodone--future effects after overdose?

I was wondering whether the headache in particular could have been caused by hypoxia?

Actually I'm having a hard time believing that tolerance is the culprit, because the day I took 10mg of roxicodone was at least 3 weeks after my last roxi overdose with no opiates in between, and with sauna detoxes in between as well. Can tolerance last this long?
And I don't think I have a body that doesn't like opiates, because I have done them quite a few times (spaced out in time of course) over the years and every experience has been euphoric and good feeling with no ill effects. It just seems that after the overdose they just don't feel the same and I can't figure it out cuz I know its not just in my mind, the body. Just in case could anyone confirm that the pills I described are in fact instant release roxicodone?

There is a type of tolerance that is effectively what happens when you become psychologically acclimated to a certain amount of opiate euphoria as opposed to a physical tolerance. I believe there is a scientific term for it, but I am at a loss for what it is right now. While it doesn't seem to happen to everyone, or act as predictably as physical tolerance it definitely exists. Unlike a physical tolerance it sticks around much longer - months, years or possibly forever. After having used opioids only 3 times in the last year and nothing for 3 months I still wouldn't be able to feel less than say 50mg, with 100mg+ being needed for a "buzz".

The question: Could the overdose have effected I my ability to feel the euphoric effects from future injestions of roxi/oxy (because of brain/receptor damage, etc.)? If not, what is most likely the cause of this diminished effect (e.g. could tolerance exist after a month, that it was taken with food)?

Oxycodone is not toxic, it does not damage the brain or any other part of your body, you are fine. Nausea, vomiting, and headaches are all side effects that many users get. You didn't OD in the sense that most people use the term, i.e. you didn't take enough to cause severe respiratory depression. But you did take more than what you are comfortable with, and as a result experience all the negative side effects a lot stronger than any positive ones.

And the other part is just tolerance, and yes it can last 3 weeks, it actually lasts a hell of a lot longer than that.

I would say one of the effects that should follow any overdose or brush with death is gratitude for being alive to get fucked up again.
