Oxycodone ban??? Oct 2014

Is the doctor's office you go to a pain management clinic or another type of doctor's office? Over the past 3 years many states have passed laws were only doctors certified as pain management specialists can prescribe narcotics to non-cancer patients. If that is the case your doctor should refer you to a pain management clinic.

p.m. dr

im wondering if the dea is coming down on my dr, and she is just saying thats she can only prescribe to cancer patients as to thats her new rule for fucking up, and she doesnt want her patients to know, that the dea is on her shit. motherfucker, this is some bullshit

If that is how it's going, which I highly doubt... What about the following people with life debilitating conditions:

What about patients lives' being dictated by Cluster Headaches?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Herniated Spinal Discs?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Multiple Sclerosis?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Fibromyalgia?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Degenerative Disc Disease
What about patients lives' being dictated by A PARs Defect?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Broken Bones?
What about patients lives' being dictated by A Frozen Shoulder?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Complex Regional Pain Syndrome?
What about patients lives' being dictated by A Myocardial infarction?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Arthritis?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Chronic Daily Migraine?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Irreparable Sciatica?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Chronic Kidney Stones?
What about patients lives' being dictated by Appendicitis?
What about patients lives' being dictated Trigeminal Neuralgia
What about patients lives' being dictated Pancreatitis?
What about patients lives' being dictated Endometriosis?
What about patients lives' being dictated Post-Operative-Pain?

I think you're getting your story switched with the new classifications in the US.

I am too worried about this, but keeping my hopes high. I have an appt tomorrow with my pain management dr. I will hopefully find out more from my state at least (oregon). The few diff medical clinics I have spoken to have heard nothing about restrictions and it is up to the dr.
I have been on oxycodone 15 mg for almost 2 yrs, and I don't see them up and taking then away just cuz I don't have cancer. That would be a recipe for distater on so many levels. Granted I am not 'addicted' to them, I am dependent. For those who are, not only withdrawls, but some can die from not having it, if their body needs it to function. (Like alcoholics up an quitting without walking down to a certain amount).
I cross my fingers for everyone in chronic pain, and are worries about this. Again, hopefully I will be able to give a lil insight or at least give some sort of website with the 'small print'.. There are so many diff 'rumors' or what not out there right now.

It is most likely just your specific doc OP. Laws like this take time to pass it's not something that'd happen overnight. We would of heard about it long before it passed.

Just got don't at my dr/pain Mgn. She prescribed me my usually oxycodone and Morphine to help in between. So I think it depends on state and dr discrepency
